December 30, 200619 yr ^ I think most of us said that in HIGH SCHOOL...it is not a knock on his ability, but more a credit to it....he is an athletic beast..... Correct. His combo of strength and speed will make him a dynamite d-lineman. The current LBs that he's behind are going to be there awhile. Get the kid on the field.
December 30, 200619 yr Hopefully the kid from Trinity will come in ready to kick... I hope he kicks as well, though I think he will be punting mainly.
December 30, 200619 yr Correct. His combo of strength and speed will make him a dynamite d-lineman. The current LBs that he's behind are going to be there awhile. Get the kid on the field. The only thing that I can think of, is that he might not be grasping the defense all that well. Nothing wrong with that, he is only a freshman....he'll get it soon enough.
December 30, 200619 yr With next year's light upgrade in schedule, we will see a bit more....though their non-conference is flat awful. Although 2 of the 4 teams in their non-conference made bowl games this year, ... CMU already won and I fully expect UL to do the same.
December 30, 200619 yr Author I was yelling "ShUT UP!!!!!! You haven't watched enough UK games in your lifetime to have the right to make that statement". :thumb: :thumb: that's the truth!!
December 30, 200619 yr Author UK still needs a kicker. :thumb: I agree..........and they maybe would have had one but they only invited him to walk on. His name is Aaron Pettry and he will be on scholly and kicking for the #1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in the NC next week.
December 30, 200619 yr Woodson has finally learned the offense and did a great job. I am going to now apologize for saying he was not a SEC caliber QB when he was recruited back a few year ago. (well I still think when they started him he wasn't and that my assessment was correct at the time) But he has really come along and UK should be proud of it's big bowl win! Go Cats!
December 30, 200619 yr UK still needs a kicker. Although Seiber is having some struggles, he is a true freshman. That means this is his first year kicking off the ground. It is very hard to compare H.S to college. He had a sensational H.S career and even had surgery early this season. Give him some time to get use to kicking off the ground.
December 30, 200619 yr This is just a great win for the program and for the state. I have received years of ridicule over UK's football program and have never stopped rooting for them. I know there are tons of others like me, and it feels good to have something to be proud of! Can't wait until next year!
December 30, 200619 yr I have never, ever been happy for a person than I am for Rich Brooks. The fake punt call to big ....................... well you know.
December 30, 200619 yr It amazes me how many people were bashing Rich Brooks from the time he got to KY until a month ago,and now they want to celebrate! The Bandwagon is all sold out.
December 30, 200619 yr It amazes me how many people were bashing Rich Brooks from the time he got to KY until a month ago,and now they want to celebrate! The Bandwagon is all sold out. On the one hand I want to say "preach it, AA." But my gut is telling me to say "there's room for everyone on this Bandwagon." Welcome aboard, everyone!
December 30, 200619 yr On the one hand I want to say "preach it, AA." But my gut is telling me to say "there's room for everyone on this Bandwagon." Welcome aboard, everyone! There not welcome on my wagon! It wasn't easy defending Coach Brooks. He took over a program that was rock bottom and some people wouldn't give the man a chance! I was saying last year we should sign him a lifetime contract,it's not like the program has been any good in the last fifty years!
December 30, 200619 yr I was saying last year we should sign him a lifetime contract,it's not like the program has been any good in the last fifty years! A lifetime contract for this guy couldn't be more than 6-8 years anyway.
