Does this mean that Boyle County is # 2 in 4A and # 1 in 5A ?

Just watched 2021 BC vs LexCath... Boyle O is not up to par with FD defense. End of story lol. This isn't going to be a blowout, but past halftime Douglass pulls away comfortably.

 

Too much quickness, speed and athletes on the field for Douglass, Boyle won't be able to cover or match up with them. Boyle Co lost to LCA who has a lot less speed, athletes and quickness than Douglass and barely beat a good, but with less in Lex Cath FD 28- BC 17.

Hope you're right and hoping Douglass to really put it to the rebels.. Just to humble them down a bit.

 

Douglass is too strong, and too fast for that. There will be maybe one or two screen passes, maybe even a draw that will gain positive yards, but misdirection isn't going to work because the Broncos ends stay at home well. They don't get taken out of containment or leave their lane.

Don't know but I do think it puts us at #2 in the City behind LCA.  

Well, this is great news for all the other teams in 5A. Everyone thought that FD was going to be unstoppable. Now that they've finally played some real competition, we know that's not true.

Bowling Green had more success at Boyle than FD did at home. FD shouldn't even be ranked in the top 5 teams in 5A anymore. To me, the only contenders for 5A state champ are now Woodford, South Warren and Owensboro. Unless there is a surprise upset by a team like Bowling Green or Southwestern.

Hopefully Cole Lanter made some believers out of the few doubters last night. Was easily the best player on the field. 

Lucky for Freddy that they’re not a 4A school. 

Does this change everyone’s opinion on 5A I think everyone just assumed FD would win it.

Thank God yes!

I don’t get to see them play but follow their social media stuff and see highlights online but with all of the talent they have every year, how is FD not dominant? Is it coaching?

It’s got to be coaching in my opinion. The last few years they have had the most talent of any team in the state outside of Trinity, and they yet underwhelm every year. Has to be a in game coaching and/or preparation thing. For example, When CCH won the state championship in 19, they Did have Mike Mayer, but FD probably had the next best 5-6 players from a talent perspective and would have won that game with better coaching and discipline.

I agree. Maybe less Twitter posts about meeting college coaches and more game prep.
