A University of Kentucky fraternity was throwing a party at a house where six UK football players allegedly committed burglary, a UK spokesperson confirmed Friday.

The fraternity, Alpha Sigma Phi, was given one year of disciplinary probation from UK’s Office of Student Conduct for “various violations,” UK spokesperson Jay Blanton said.

Alpha Sigma Phi’s violations included failure to comply, hazing, misuses of alcohol and failure to follow UK’s COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, according to UK’s website. The probation expires on April 21, 2022. The code of student conduct defines failure to comply as deliberate noncompliance with directions of UK officials or law enforcement officers, including failure to properly identify oneself to these persons when requested to do so.

  • Or they do get caught, and their parents have enough money to get them out of it. A basketball player from a prominent school in NKY comes to mind.

Wait, we can charge people with racism?  How come no one told me this? Who do I need to speak with? Let me know!!!!!!    Unclear.  We do know that the sentence, “who let the n words into the pa

  • No. ?

If there was no gun, then this is probably amended to trespassing charges (at most) on those that actually went into the house after being thrown out or asked to leave. A couple of other players were "ID'd" and investigated that weren't even there that night. Let's let this play put and see what the facts are. If the players are facing court and charges aren't dismissed then they probably need to sit out until it is resolved.

I heard today that one of the witnesses/accusers is now refusing to cooperate and that it a parent of one of the students that is pushing for charges.

Stoops said the players are not practicing while he awaits the police discovery to see if there is something he doesn’t know about.   He also says the players have a right to have their side of the story told.

All 6 players pled not guilty.

Generally, those throwing stones have another agenda when it comes to criticizing this or any other program.  JUST LIKE ANY OTHER FAN BASE from any other school.   Suggesting that there is a total lack of control in the UK program simply serves the agenda of those who would prefer to be critical.  Same for UC basketball, same for Alabama football, yada, yada, yada.   Spare me the "Holier than thou" criticism until the process is complete.

Didn't he already "suspend" them and the school investigative process didn't find anything so they let them come back. Why hold them out again?

(This is rhetorical, btw)

Tisdale passes a polygraph that he did not have a gun.

Looks like this story is on the verge of going viral nationally.

Talk about a distraction, Stoops has to be on fire.

Last I saw was that Vito passed a polygraph that obviously will not be admissible in court, but looks really good for him and the players. It seemed to me that the facts seem to be favoring the players, have you heard more?

Last I saw he backs his players still.

I heard there is a video coming out soon showing the fraternity brothers saying racial epithets at the football players.  We’ll see if that holds weight.

If the part of this incident involving the gun goes away due to this polygraph, then this is guys fighting over a racial slur which, while it should not have happened, is no where near as serious a gun being brandished.

Unless he wants a locker room full of transfers he has no choice.  I don’t think the players are completely innocent but they also might be vastly overcharged here.  The end result is a headache for Stoops.  I’d like to know what evidence the police used to pursue charges.

Agreed.

If there was no gun, this could be chalked up to too much testosterone between two groups. That being said, if it's true about the football players returning after they had been asked to leave, they have to be smarter than that. Nothing good can come from it.

College kids being called racial slurs aren’t going to just leave.  In no world should that be expected.
