It was made official today.

Only three state tournament appearances in history. Have seemingly always played second fiddle to Mason and Clark in the tenth, now also to Campbell. Has always seemed like a place you could win big but it’s never really happened. 

Not sure which way Montgomery Co. will turn.  Before Coach Wright, they had a young coach in Matthew Daniels.  Wright had a little more success, but couldn't get over the hump.

They have a really good, young, Girls Basketball coach. Would he translate well to the boys side, or would he even be interested?

Montgomery County looking for a coach.  What a shocker.

Thinking back, that school has had a ton of turnover on thesidelines; Griesser, Wise, Osborne, Holland, Daniel & now Wright and thats just in the last 10-11 years.  ?

Other than Daniel, the rest were only there 1 or 2 years.

2010-11 (Griesser), 2011-12 (Wise), 2012-13 (Happy), 2013-14 (Holland), 2014-2019 (Daniels) and 2019-2021 (Wright).  Happy made the State Semi-finals game in 2013, and Coach Holland followed that up with an impressive 29-3 record the following season.  Quite the run of coaches in Montgomery Co.

The conjecture would be either the school has an oversized (and false) idea of how good it should be/is, or else it's a place where parents or politics or something (other than leadership and common sense) rule the roost.

Shouldn't Coach Wright get the chance for an extra year like all these players reclassifying? Obviously, it would make a huge difference for him like it's going to for all these players reclassifying! (Hope everyone catches the sarcasm). 

Surprised by this move.  He nearly pulled the upset in the region this past year.

I, also am surprised.  He was in the hunt both years he was there.
