I agree.

McCracken loses a lot to graduation, will be interesting to see how this next season goes for them. 

Step in the right direction for MC.  They will have to continue to search and travel outside WKY to find quality games.  Not to say that PT & Mayfield aren't good games, but to be competitive in 6A, it really doesn't help them much.  RPI only hurts them playing 2A, 3A teams.

They also like the money from the PT and Mayfield games. There has to be a balance is how you schedule. MC may never get where they can compete for a State title or only when they have really super Junior and Senior classes.

Pretty tough schedule.

McCracken County will be returning their top wide receiver, Zander Mayes, and their top rusher, Hunter Bradley, who have both elected to reclassify to Class Of 2022.

Those two players accounted for 1603 of the Mustangs' 2672 total yards of offense last season.

Bradley is a player.

Probably a season where they win 7-8 games. 9-1 or undefeated would be a stretch. One of these days they will finally get more than 4-5 very good athletes and make some noise. 

PT and Mayfield will be tough games, but winnable. Bowling Green will always be a huge challenge. Who will be their main competition in District 1?

Usually no one but Henderson or one of the Owensboro schools have won  a game from them but not often.

 

Bradley is a man among boys and will run over you.  Toughest RB I've seen in the last few years.

Henderson has given McCracken by far its biggest challenges, and has won 2 of the last 3 against the Mustangs. 

Until they consistently schedule one of the Louisville area schools such as Male, St X, Trinity, they will simply have no path to challenge for a 6A championship. By never facing one of those teams in regular season play they have ZERO chance of even playing them close in the post season.
