January 3, 20215 yr Dontaie Allen! Wow! What a game by him! Cal said he was going to get his chance this game, and he made the most of it! That was amazing! The defense has been pretty good this year. The offense has been horrible, because they can’t score. So hopefully this is the start of getting the offense going, by having a shooter like Allen in the game. This game should give them some much needed confidence, and can hopefully use this to go on a little run here! Wow!
January 3, 20215 yr Shameful that Dantae has rotted on the bench all year but Cal has always had some reason for not playing Ky boys. Cop out Cal got threw out as normally happens a couple times per year and his team always plays better without him.

He always has had a quick trigger for shooters as soon as they make one mistake. He doesn’t give them a chance to get in a rhythm like Allen did tonight. Hopefully this gets him to adapt his ways and thinking in regards to shooters.
January 3, 20215 yr Seven 3's might get you some playing time. Great to see Sarr step up in the second half, and I thought Askew led the team better than he has all year.

The statement that if you’ve played better you get a longer leash is true with every coach BUT Clarke and Boston have not done that, the only reason Cal has given them a longer leash is the 5 star rating beside their name!!

I thought Lance Ware was good tonight too. Very active on the boards and he can really push people around in the paint. Big struggle for Boston though. He's got to get better, but it was good seeing him cheering a bunch on the bench.
January 3, 20215 yr Hopefully the team seeing Allen makes shots, helps get some of these other guys to be able to make some shots. Confidence is contagious at times, so hopefully that helps.
January 3, 20215 yr I’m glad Allen finally was allowed to play long enough to get into a rhythm. Cal has not left him in games very long, assuming he even got in a game, to prove what he is capable of doing.
January 3, 20215 yr I know that usually the party line is "they see them in practice and that's why they're not playing", but this sure looked like an indictment of Cal in not playing Allen more previously. It happens sometimes but man, bad look. Meanwhile, credit to Allen for showing out when given the chance. That's what you want to see from a kid who wants to play.
