Yep!!  Especially those players who were/are very upset about their previous coaches being let go!

Was everyone let go or just the head coach?  Some or all assistants were told they could apply for a position under new coach correct?  

A change needed to be made at the top plain and simple and this was most evident last year and again this season when it took 3 or 4 games to get a punt team assembled.

If kids leave then so be it.  Hergott left for Beechwood and now they are singing the praises of their recent hire and yet he was the reason the kid left Highlands in the first place.

I assure you, Cameron Hergott did not leave Highlands because of Brian Weinrich.

I’m not very close to that situation or the Hergotts, but if I had to guess, his uncle being on the coaching staff played a much bigger role than BW did.

Not sure on that either. I did say I’d have to guess, so that’s just me publicizing my opinion. I really don’t know the answer. Just my thoughts.

I am not sure but if you go back years, they had a history on backing the wrong horses.  Cam a miss, Matt Shearer a miss. Both boys opted to pursue other opportunities.

Not saying you are wrong in that statement.  There was a time in the Dale era where quarterbacks had to wait until their senior year to get their shot.  BW continued with this very process which led to Hergott leaving.  Not saying I blame the kid, but he took all the snaps in spring ball his frosh season and then transferred to play under his uncle’s guidance?  

Wow!!! All this because of an email campaign started 2/3 years ago by a parent so his kid could start. And from what I'm hearing, he's at it again. If true what a joke!!!

Fact, TFVH is saying is a parent 3 yrs ago interfered with a firing process that quite arguably is a very large part as to why Highlands is in the shape they are in at the moment.

Btw, for those concerned, it doesn’t take money to work out on your own. Never has and never will so whoever is complaining about kids working out privately claims “isn’t fair” is an insult to all athletes across this country.

And for anybody that thinks they are bigger than this program and they don’t like the pace of the hiring process then feel free to move on. The program will survive with or without you.  Heck, I even welcome them to give me a call and we can have a Highlands Football history lesson conversation.

There is a big difference between doing push-ups and burpees and putting a bar on your back. There are a number of programs that would make the argument “it’s not fair” that other programs are in the weight room and they aren’t/can’t be. The personal trainer thing can be hit or miss but access to bar and weights at this age (even when not done optimally) can be a big advantage.
