Kentucky 71 Florida 70

Final what a comeback especially without Quickley. This could be exactly what the Cats need going into the tournament. Cats were down 18 with under 12 minutes remaining.

I'll admit it - I completely gave up on the game and complained about it in the update thread. Great heart from the team, battling through a lot of adversity. Hopefully they rally around it.

Ultimately the week had a game they should have won and one they should have lost. It just so happened that the results were reversed, lol.

Great win, the kids played inspired, they knew they were short-handed and took on the challenge.

They don't ask how, just how many.

Cats! Cats! Cats!

Kentucky led that game for 12 seconds - the last 12.

In all, they trailed in the game for 39:30.

How in the world did they win that game?

What a roller coaster this whole season has been.

Goodness.

Wow what a win!

As I said in the update thread. Their future success will depend on if the team and Hagans can come back together. It could be something that there is no coming back from, or could make them stronger.

Especially since with Hagans not playing and Quickley fouling out. It made players like Brooks, Juzang, Sestina step up. We said all year they will need something from those guys. So those guys should have a lot more confidence now, when they are in the game come tournament time. Plus they probably earned Coach Cals confidence in them too. So they still need to find away to all come together, but this could end up being a blessing in disguise.

Brooks with his best game of the season I think.

Heckuva a second half by Richards.

Can't wait to get to Lawrenceburg and cash that ticket. I feel like a millionaire...its worthy substantially less haha

My wife wanted to sweep the floor which is a no no when UK is on. I told her to go ahead because we were down 18. We came back and won and she is taking credit for the win!!!

Great comeback win--Showed a ton of heart. Hope Hagens gets back soon, as I heard this was definitely a coach's decision due to a legal issue. Hope he learns from this experience?

Florida was at a 98.9% win probability when up by 18.

I think the solid contributions by the bench guys can a lot be attributed to the lack of pressure and ability to play through mistakes. With Hagans gone and IQ in foul trouble, they weren’t having to look over their shoulder at Cal ready to yank them at every little mistake.

And honestly, if Blackshear doesn’t sprain his wrist, the Gators probably prevail. His absence helped balance the playing field.

Given this week’s drama, that was the type of mental victory UK needed.
