Pikeville was a very, very good 1A Football team this year. Possibly the best team in Classes 1A, 2A, and 3A you may be able to argue after tonight.

Congratulations to Pikeville on winning and to Paintsville on a nice season. I thought that Paintsville would make somewhat of a game out of it but thought that Pikeville was the clear favorite. It did seem like Pikeville was also the clear favorite before the season began. After today, it shows why.

Congratulations to Pikeville. They had a very determined group of young men, who worked very hard in the offseason in that new weight room. I got to see the determination in Week 1 when Bardstown drove up there to play. While we gave them a game, it was clear they had talent all over the field. I personally was a fan of FB/LB Jon Collum. How did he do today?
