Murray is also not the best player since Shaun. He would make a list though if there was one.

I will say it's a night and day difference from when I saw Ryle play Boone compared to seeing them in the playoffs for whatever that's worth.

Apparently Grey wasn't fast enough to catch Farris on his 73 yard TD run against Ryle. IMHO, Grey is faster than Murray.

Murray the best from NKY since Shaun? Are you serious? How about Jared Lorenzen, Gino, Derek Smith, Brett Hamblen, Brent Grover, Ben Scott, Kunhein, Rob Smith? Those are only the ones from Highlands that have been better than Murray.

 

Artie Steinmetz from CovCath was better than Murray, as was Mike Donoghue.

 

O'Toole from Dixie was better.

 

There are others that are as well.

 

Vince Murray is a GREAT HS football player, one who can play on the next level for a Div. 1A team. Don't discredit him by overhyping the way you are.

 

 

Nothing worse than over-hyping a great young player and an even more impressive young man. The problem is that when one disproves irrational statements on here, it gives the appearance of denigrading the object of said statements(which is not anyone's intent including User Name). Its absolutely unfair to Vince Murray.

This is a retarded thread. Is Ryle the best team in NKY? We'll never know since they did not play CovCath or that one school in Ft. Thomas (scrimmages and comparing similar opponents do not count). This is like trying to argue that the Bengals would have won the Super Bowl if Carson Palmer did not get hurt. We'll never know.

 

In my opinion, they can lay claim to being one of the best this year due to were they are at now and what they've accomplished this year. Also, Murray's comparison to Justin Frisk is much closer to a comparison to Shaun Alexander. I played against both and I can vouch for that.

I would have to say CCH is the best NKY football team. Ryle and HHS in a close second place. I was at the CCH/Ryle scrimmage and CCH didnt have trouble moving the ball, or stopping them.

I have to agree with that, Ryle does have some very talented players.

Brown was just as good a back as Vince is now, if not better, and Davis wasn't too far behind him. So/so at best? geeeeez, tough crowd.

LSU, I'd agree that this is the way that most see it. However, I'd say that the difference between these teams is about the difference between T, X, and Male, for what it's worth. If you want my opinion, I say they should bring back the old CovCath/Ryle rivalry. I still have a sore spot for a blocked PAT in OT. :mad: :lol:
