16thBBall Fan
Cats were up 30-20 with 3:00 minutes to play in the first half with the ball and get outscored the last 28 minutes of the game 57-41.
sumoroyal
We were all worried about the three's and the straight lines drives to the basket beat us. Why did Cal not switch to a zone?
GrantNKY
The warning signs were there the last two games. Auburn is a great basketball team. Kentucky couldn’t afford a repeat effort of the last two games and Auburn was too good. The offense was nonexistent again. Guard play wins basketball games in March and Kentucky had none. John Anthony
He definitely was a no show today. No argument here. You were right though, he’s better than I ever gave credit for from November to March. He will try to be a catch and shoot 3 point guy at the next level. John Anthony
Another year of it was there for the taking, another year UK had the better team, another year it stings. Hopefully, next year isn’t yet “another year.”

GolfNut
The only good thing to take away is that PJ is the only one that is ready to go pro and maybe we get those players back

Both Johnson and Herro are projected to be first round picks.
GrantNKY
This was the year too. Abilene Christian, Wofford, Houston, Auburn, and a Virginia team that I think Kentucky matches up really well with? You couldn’t have hand picked a better path for UK to get what everyone wants which is that rematch against Duke for all the marbles. Just couldn’t get it done. futurecoach
Am I the only one that thinks maybe Herro just isn’t all that good? Well he is probably going to be a first round pick. So NBA guys may disagree with you.
TheDeuce
This, IMO, was a perfect example of a time when the better team did not win. But the better coach did.
bugatti
The only good thing to take away is that PJ is the only one that is ready to go pro and maybe we get those players back Keldon will be gone. PJ did himself a lot of good this year being able to extend his game, which he will have to at the next level. Beyond that, I’m not seeing much pro potential on the roster. Bluegrasscard
Three wins against a good team in a season is always hard. I know guards are taking a beating here but it seems that with the Auburn foul situation and the superior big guys that Kentucky had, a two man game with PJ and Travis would have been good to get going. They were doubling and tripling PJW the entire second half. Getting the ball over to Travis in those situations should have lead to some easy layups and dunks.
