Earls has 26 catches for 494 yards and 7 TDs.

Adams has 12 catches for 664 yards and 6 TDs

 

Adams is averaging over 55 yards per catch? If true that would have to be a record...

Middlesboro vs Trigg Co.(Middlesboro winning)

 

Not sure why but something tells me that Middlesboro is a lot better than most "predictions" throughout the state are telling me. Hopefully one of my senses has to be right.

He played one season at Pikeville College, but it ended early with a back injury. He is not currently playing football.

I've moved on.......... As bad as Middlesboro turns the ball over, and as good as Belfry's Defense is, I'd say this game won't be close. Belfry's offense is good enough to make them pay for turning the ball over, Leslie's wasn't. Leslie had the ball inside the 30 4 times in the 2nd half and couldn't score. Belfry will not have this problem. They'll stop Middlesboro once or twice and have a few 6-7 minute drives and Middlesboro's players will start pointing fingers and fighting with each other. Then it will get out of hand. We've saw these guys twice. You can't win big games on talent alone, you have to play as a team. Belfry is the better team. Belfry wins 42-21.

LOL... yeah, but I've NOT seen Middlesboro. :sssh: :lol:

 

If I were a Jacket fan, I'd be VERY concerned about the defense. Corbin and Breathitt Co. both put up a lot of points against them. Neither of those teams, though, bring the quality of running game Belfry possesses.

 

The Middlesboro offense should hold its own. Though some may not buy it, I think their last game vs. Leslie Co. was a good indicator that this offense can score on a VERY good defense.

 

From what I hear, Middlesboro is a very athletic team. This could serve them well to break a few big plays (>30 yds). I believe Middlesboro will need at least 3 of them Friday night to win...

Hoskins is an outstanding QB, and I think Casey Earls is the BEST RB in the mountains. Also, Adams is a terror on Defense, especially if you throw the ball. I just don't think they can play the team game, and they're going to war with the best team around. Its hard to take 5-6 guys to a gang fight and win. Plus, its on Belfry's turf.

 

In the Leslie game, one TD was a give up TD to get the ball back. The other was the one Verticle Leslie was good for giving up every game. The other was a pretty good drive. They've got pass more this week to have a chance at all. They have all the weapons for a GREAT passing attack, they just don't use them. Hoskins throws the ball great, but they just won't go to it alot.

What's the lowdown on the Yellowjackets line? How good are they up front on both sides of the ball?

What are the rushing stats for Trevor Hoskins? I would imagine that his numbers will probably add another 400 rushing yards or more. One clear difference in my mind, just by looking at the statistics, is that along with a good ground game, Middlesboro has a serious passing threat while Belfry does not.

 

Since Middlesboro also throws the ball, some of the big playmakers were left off of that list of statistics. I would love to see the receiving numbers for Hunter Adams and Dalin Farr. Heck, Casey Earls, as good as his rushing stats sound, puts up nearly as good receiving numbers as well ,He is a great young athlete.

 

In conclusion, yes Belfry appears to have a better rushing offense but Middlesboro has a far more balanced attack.

Trevor is right at 1000 yards rushing on the season.

 

With Da'lin he missed the first 3 games of the season because he was in violation of team rules and Kenny Roark is just now starting to throw the football his way ,Over the last 2 games against Cawood and Leslie County he has had 2 long TD receptions.

They're line is a little undersized but have pretty good fight about them. Listen, if these guys would learn to play a 4-3, or a 4-4 defense, they'd be the best around, including Mercer. That man defense all the time is just crazy. They've got away with it so far. Just an outburst by Breathitt, and thats it. But they've not exactly played a bunch of teams who are leading the state in scoring.

Brennan Bowling our second string RB has 694 rushing yards with 11 TD's.

 

I really like our line they might be small (I'd guess they average about 205) but they get the job done.
