I understand the H corners play man everywhere, but can someone explain why they never face the ball and their shoulders are almost facing the sidelines? Trinity has the offense to exploit this and first team to 40pts wins.

Trinity fans, take your radio b/c Male has a terrible PA system if one at all.

Good luck to both schools.

Only IF there is a torrential rain before and during the game.

I stated in another thread that neither team has played a team like the other yet this season and both will have tests friday night.

If Beaumont is 100% I think Male will win by 4-7 points say 35-28 or 35-31.

there just might be torrential rain friday night

I will say with Coach Bean on our defensive sideline, I like that he is VERY familiar with this Male offense...and obviously Coach Cove and Beatty know about the defense...they will have to do their best to simulate that speed in practice....get ready for a lot of shifts, and bunches...it's hard to play man, when the receivers start out all together.

I don't get the comparison. T and H have played 3 times in 10 years only at the varsity level but they know each other? 2000, 2001, and 2002 were good games but that's like saying U of L knows the Rutgers defense since they beat them 56-5 last year. Diffferent years, different personnel. BTW, Male plays man on the receivers but Beaumont played safety for 2/3 of the game Friday night. Coach Redman can adjust, he just didn't do it in 2001 and 2002.

I think this team reminds me of the 2000 Male team that nobody touched within 2 touchdowns in the playoffs.

He doesn't adjust that's what the issue always has been. Believe me..safety or not...Male will get exploited for a couple of deep balls.

Wow, thats mighty high praise. Montrell Jones, Marcus Green, Chris Barclay, Sergio Spencer, the Blackerby brothers, Mike Bush, Casey Shumate, Matt Sanders, etc.

If Male has that kind of talent maybe the Rocks should save the gas and just stay home Friday night.

FYI, Male had two safeties at times in the 02' game.

Good luck to both schools.

It is a technique that the outside corners have pass responsibility and position themselves to keep the outside receivers toward the outside. They are physically blocking the slant route or drag. Remember that there is no 5 yard contact rule in high school so they can block their path until the ball is in the air.

I agree on the PA.

My advice is also to park away from the school and walk. Parking in the parking lot takes a half hour to leave after the game.

Our system minimizes this...I love this game.

If you go by the poll, we might as well pack it up now and have the kids turn in their equipment. Seems to be alot of people that think Male is the best team in the state. That could be true. It is also true that the best team does not always win. Trinity likes to play games when no one gives us a chance to win. The Rocks will be ready whether the game is at Cardinal Stadium, Male, or an open field out in the country.

GO ROCKS!!!!!!

Rock^^, and we won't be"ready"? We got beat in the second round the last two years and that taste in still there. Let the game be played. Go Dawgs! And here's to no one getting injured. Good Luck Rocks.

Hmmmm....that same statement has left a few fans and Coaches I know ready for open fire with a bullseye on their backs.:D

Back to thread:

If these same players played a year ago....I would say advantage Dawgs. Since it is present day and there is a new sheriff back in town named Coach Coverdale....Rocks win IMO.

This is a very tough call. IF Male plays the way they did last friday night along with a very few mistakes by T. Male wins. If the role is reversed..T wins. Can't imagine it being more than a TD to decide this game.

Whomever wins this game goes on to win on Nov. 30th in my opinion!

I'm not waiting to predict, Trinity Rocks by 14. Why, based on what "Mr. Kentucky" hopefull said on TV last night, the Rocks will roll in a HUGE way. Male has speed, so people say, so does Trinity. Trinity can pass, Male cannot defend. Both teams can run the ball, but Trinity has better tacklers...because Beaumont can't make ALL the tackles. Again, Rocks by 14.

Trinity can pass but so can Male, Gainey is deceiving his completion rate is near 70% and after 11 games he had thrown for MORE yards than Petrino. Redman is in the drivers seat on this one he has both in his arsenal a running game and a passing game, watch for Gainey to throw more than usual against the Rocks, why? Because soft pass defense is Trinity's biggest weakness. I watched Trinity give up 380yards passing yards when they played FC. Fern Creek has a horrible defense Trinity put up 51 pts but FC also had 3 very uncontested TD's through the air..Male has a defense, Male has a running game Male also has a QB that can throw, scramble and run and not too many receivers miss catches when they are not covered. The Rocks have their hands full in this one, the D will have to shift all night. Look for Josh Williams to be a factor in this one. This won't be like playing X where you know they are going to run 95% of the time.

Hey now I one upped you on that I said last Thursday if Male beat X they would win the title. There is no one left in the state that can beat Trinity or Male one of them will knock the other off, personally I think Male will knock Trinity off. Then we can all look forward to NEXT year when we have a bizzillion teams in the playoffs and all this will seem like the good old days!

Our system minimizes this...I love this game.

I know. If the outside guy starts off the line off scrimmage and then goes in motion back toward the middle, that should free him....unless he gets held!!

Sorry H!
