November 12, 20187 yr Several months ago I had a conversation with Big O, and he seemed to be implying very directly that Jeff had a clause in his Purdue contract that if Louisville came knocking, he was able to leave free and clear. I'm not positive that he wasn't just trying to make the conversation a little more interesting than it is in reality, but he *did* imply it, like I said.

His assistants did a nice job for a time, especially Cort Dennison, who built a lot of great relationships in Kentucky before going to Oregon. But Bobby’s greatest crime (at Louisville anyway) might be completely whiffing on what might be the biggest collection of talent to have ever come out of Jefferson County in a single year.
November 12, 20187 yr This really makes me happy. I was never thrilled about him coming back when he did, but he probably was the best coach available at the time. Either way, Jurich should have never given him the pay that he did, but that’s water under the bridge and they have things figured out.

November 12, 20187 yr Missing out on the good ones though. I doubt it was because he didn't recruit them, but top talent kids have lots of options and no coach or team signs every targeted kid.
