November 5, 200619 yr I just got back from the game. All I can say is wow! Tearing down the goal post was awesome. Awesome win for the football wildcats!
November 5, 200619 yr Well you definitely entitled to your opinion but you definintely would be in the minority on this one. I really dont see how you dont think it was worth of tearing down the goal post. Yes I know Georgia is not the same team this year, but they still are a great football program and us at UK is no where near a great football program. Georgia was still a touchdown favorite over us even though we were playing on our own field. UK has not beaten a football program like Georgia program in a long time. So to come out there and get the win today is a sign that maybe things are starting to turn around for this football program because its game like today that we usually find away to lose. So finally getting over that hump and finishing one of these games to get a huge win over a great football program. IMO is reason enough to tear down the goal post... I think this was alot of the inspiration; at least in my book. Instead of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory we finished the deal. I know what "Kick" is saying, this isn't a typical powerhouse Georgia team, but it was still Georgia and we finished it and we came back BEFORE we finished it. Great game. If I was still in college, and had the wind, I would have run out there too.

November 5, 200619 yr I liken the fans tearing down the goal post with a win against this years Georgia team, to Vandy or Ole Miss fans storming the court with a win against last year's UK basketball team.

I was pulling in my driveway on the interception and simply hopped out of the car, danced, and squealed at the sky. Wisdom and maturity come with age. I was "undecided" before; but that post definitely garners MY vote! If you can't trust a judge with THAT kind of wisdom, who CAN you trust?!
