November 5, 200619 yr The chances of getting one of the SEC's better spots went down today when LSU beat UT. If UT could have won out they were going to the BCS IMO. Now they fall into one of the SEC bowls. Looks like the only BCS representative now will be Florida/Auburn winner. I don't think Arkansas will win the West. Still are @ South Carolina tonight, UT and LSU @ home, while having to win 2/3. That leaves the loser of Florida/Auburn, UT, LSU, Arkansas, and South Carolina def. in front of the Cats. Consider Georgia and Alabama and they will more than likely be in front of the Cats in bowl order. Cats need to beat Vandy bad to impress some bowl representatives.
November 5, 200619 yr Wow, that was a fun game! Security people was all in front of the student section trying to keep us from going out on the field. But we outnumbered them pretty heavily and got out there! The defense really stepped up and played pretty well today and UK got a great win! Im so happy for the players for how hard theyve worked and how well they played today.

However I'm not so sure this win warranted the Cats' fans to tear down the goalposts after a win to an unranked 6-3 team. This obviously shows that we acted like we've never been here before.

Man we have never been there before and not in quite some time. Georgia is known for their football program, and we are known for our football program being terrible and we beat them today. We had every right to storm the field today. Im pretty sure Vandy stormed the field when they beat Georgia to. I know Georgia was ranked at the time, but they beat the same Georgia team that we did so why shouldn't we be able to storm the field and actually enjoy having some success with the football program before... I knew someone was going to say something like this. Get real. Great win? yes Satisfying? yes Tear down the goalposts type win? NO Georgia does have a great football program but not a great football team this year. unranked and 6-3 and last I heard UK is not bowl eligible yet. I don't think it's me that needs to get real !

Well you definitely entitled to your opinion but you definintely would be in the minority on this one. I really dont see how you dont think it was worth of tearing down the goal post. Yes I know Georgia is not the same team this year, but they still are a great football program and us at UK is no where near a great football program. Georgia was still a touchdown favorite over us even though we were playing on our own field. UK has not beaten a football program like Georgia program in a long time. So to come out there and get the win today is a sign that maybe things are starting to turn around for this football program because its game like today that we usually find away to lose. So finally getting over that hump and finishing one of these games to get a huge win over a great football program. IMO is reason enough to tear down the goal post...
