I thought the Aggies were clearly the better team but kept shooting themselves in the feet. A credit to the UK defense for keeping them in the game.

Agreed, great performance from them.

Truth is the A&M defense was a step ahead of us all night and two steps quicker that anyone we've played so far.

 

Half those runs by Terry would have went for much more yardage in the previous weeks, Aggies D was just too fast.

 

I get everyone complaining about Benny not getting the ball more, but until he ran against the prevent defense in the 4th quarter, they had completely shut him down. He got some yards late in the game because they were dropping everyone deep.

 

I hoped UK would win, but I never expected it. Defense played their guts out tonight but the offense has to wake back up. Nearly seven straight quarters where the offense and Benny have both struggled.

 

Because teams are starting to stack the box because they know Wilson can’t make them pay, just not good enough OR smart enough, decision making is HORRIBLE!!

Pretty simple stuff. I can’t even believe how awful that coaching was down the stretch. If Hoak can’t beat out Wilson then I don’t know what to say.

 

I agree. Wilson beat out Hoak because he can run and make plays. All he does is look to go down and run out of bounds. He never once took on a tackler.

Wilson taking a lot of heat. He was 13/20 (65%) and no interceptions. He may have looked lost at times but he clear was not going to force downfield throws. The problem was the per catch average was only 5.4 yards. Take out Bowden's 54 yard TD reception and you have 12 passes for 52 yards. Barley over 4 yards a catch. Snell had more yards per carry than that.

 

This is why I keep asking where the slat is? The underneath zone pass? It seems all the passing is either swing passes behind or around the LOS or they are downfield on the sides where the safe throw is to go long. They obviously do not trust middle of the field down field passes by Wilson.

Snell not getting the ball tonight reminds me of the year the Buckeyes lost at Michigan State when they refused to give Zeke Elliott the football.

How many times did Wilson run the ball and go down one or two yards short of the first down?

 

I went back and watched it again if he had just went on and was tackled he would have fallen and picked up the first down but he went into a slide.

Kentucky got to 5-0 and was playing some of the best ball we've seen in years and they turned the switch off cause all they care about is going bowling and they know they have several more games that should be wins for them...

Terrible quarterback. He's had some good moments but this team is all Snell imo.

Yes they turned the switch off. They were playing beast mode for the first 4 1&2 games then turned the switch off thinking they could just costs into a bowl game. A&M is very good and UK'a Denfense was lights out. Offense was horrible. Wilson is horrible. This loss is on Eddie Gran. Should have gave the ball to Snell on that 3rd down play.

Well that sucked. We have Wilson two more years still after this. If he is going to be the guy the next two seasons, we will have to live with a lot of growing pains. However I am good with it and I do think by the time his career is done here. He will be a fan favorite we all love.

 

No idea why you dont let Snell touch the ball there at the end.

Also I am not sure if i have ever seen a 43 yard field goal left short that wasnt blocked or because of the wind. Your a power 5 conference kicker, and you cant kick it 43 yards?
