Parrott
ND goes to 5-0 with a date in Blacksburg next weekend. Pretty dominant performance, outgaining Stanford by more than 300 yards. With Book at QB, this team is dangerous.

hrcarrier
Very solid win by the Irish. They will be tough to beat for anyone else that they play during the regular season.
Run To State
The Irish are a completely different team with Book at QB. Go Irish!

It will be an upset if they don't get into the playoff after this win.
GrantNKY
The Irish now have the easiest path to the playoff for any team. If you’re a Clemson, Georgia, or Oklahoma fan, you hated to see this.

Everyone is now fighting for three slots instead of four and one loss could be all it takes to knock a team out.
Jumper_Dad
As weak as Notre Dame's schedule is the rest of the way, any loss will knock them out too.

Undoubtedly, which is why they clearly have the easiest path to the playoff now. Any loss going forward to who they have left on their schedule is much bigger than other losses that the other top teams have.
Phantom 5497
Good win for the Irish, but IMO Stanford isn't, or wasn't the 7th best team in the nation.
CincySportsFan
Good win for the Irish, but IMO Stanford isn't, or wasn't the 7th best team in the nation. This. They were gift-wrapped that victory earlier in the season against Oregon. A loss there, and there's no way they're in the top 10.
Run To State
Lets settle down people. They still have to beat 24th ranked Virginia Tech and a good Syracuse team that almost beat Clemson on their own field.
LIPTON BASH
The Irish now have the easiest path to the playoff for any team. If you’re a Clemson, Georgia, or Oklahoma fan, you hated to see this. I'd argue Ohio state has the easiest path left.
UKMustangFan
Nothing would make me happier than the Irish getting that 4 seed in the playoff opposite Alabama.
