Three now. Why?

Highlands has beat some decent teams. But at the end of the day there just are not very many good teams in NKY. To be honest there really are not that many good teams in all of KY. It is what it is. Highlands will win most of their games this year, and get roughed up by Cov Cath. I see a lot of improvement though and think the future is bright for Highlands. Right now they are a top 2 or 3 NKY team and could be the top team in a couple of years.

Does it really matter? SK is an OK team, good win, but I would agree that there just are not many good teams in NKY, no one is taking anything away from Highlands, but lets not get carried away.....

I'd like to hear from SK players and fans that had the pleasure of the sideline. Does it make a difference, or is it all hype of where the stands and sidelines come together? Bottom line, does it effect the game at all?

First game of the year for me, So help me. Has the offense limited itself to outside of the hashmarks all season in the passing game or did they see something tonight in prep for SK?

I disagree. SK is a good team. They certainly aren't a top 5 6A team, but they are a good football team. They are exactly where they always are. A top 5 NKY team. Maybe it's time people start actually saying Highlands can beat GOOD teams. It's getting pretty old.

 

I disagree. This is one of the weaker SK teams of the last decade. SK has been lucky/consistent at QB. The passing game just isn't there right now and it shows against decent teams. Throw in 2 TD's given up on special teams and some defensive penalties that extended drives for Highlands. Just don't see it in this team.

Something odd about the game plan for HHS. After the half they didn’t make any real changes offensively. One back set, passing to the sidelines or throwing deep twice every series. With the way the defense was playing were they trying to “force” this scheme to work?

Based on the photo, it should have been a TD to Ahfeld when they called him out of bounds. DWC Photo shows he was in.

They, by Kremer buying time in the pocket, hit on a 30 yard pass in the 1st quarter in the Middle 1/3rd of the middle 1/3rd. They ran a post in the 2nd quarter that was open and had big play potential, but just a little under thrown and well played by the corner. That was it. SK's linebackers looked like run stuffers, not the guy you want covering slots over and over on drag routes and other crossing patterns. It was a weird passing scheme.

Drag route what is that? TE hold a block and release never mind? Two back set if you heard me in the stands!! Read my past thoughts. If you can’t pretend to get the edge with Buten in a pitch or jet. Coop doesn’t stand a chance. Go into this against Eddie and the clock runs tick tick!
