How do the playoff matchups work. Who would Trinity likely have to beat to make it to state? I'll admit, last nights game kinda shocked me, so any Trinity loss from here on out will just be unexpected I suppose.

No other team in KY has the stones to schedule like Trinity does. Trinity has looked bad at times, yes. They are dealing with some injuries as well. I’d like for someone to tell me what other KY team would have a better record than Trinity playing their schedule, and actually have some reasoning behind it...

Places like Trinity schedule appropriate level competition year in and year out. They don't worry about won/loss record. It's about playing the best schedule they can and giving their players the opportunity to improve. Seems like no one in the state of Kentucky, as far as I've seen, cares to walk in their shoes and make the schedule they do. Some years may not go as planned and they may lose a few more than normal. In the end they are prepared to compete for championships -- not worrying about some opinionated or computer based ranking. Keep your heads up kids and keep competing!

In 2003 we had a great team and no one wanted to play us. In 2004, our QB got hurt and we got stuck playing Middletown, OH(ever heard of Andre Amos) week 10.... we were 1-8 going into the game. I am sure Trinity will be fine, but the level they play, they have very few options. Scott County has done the same thing. Moeller and LaSalle? In the big picture.... huge compliment to the staffs and programs of both schools.

People say "at the end of the day, they're still losses." While that's correct, programs like Trinity and Scott County will gladly take a loss or two to high quality opponents if it helps them win a championship. Does anybody really think if Trinity wins state, they'll be like "man, really wish we didn't start 0-5"?

To me, there is only a very few teams in the state that would be competitive with Trinity’s schedule. Covington Catholic, Male, and Scott Co are only ones, in my opinion.

Are Trinity’s injured players expected to return by playoff time? If so, it would be foolish to write them off just yet. Great teams hit their stride in the postseason and often avenge regular season losses.

This is a question that can only be answered when the playoffs start. The late summer could be an uphill slog that turns to a downhill roll when the district schedule starts. I don't think it's their year, but I'd hate to be the team that looks past the Rocks at any time.

Before Friday night, I thought everyone but Dingle was supposed to return by playoffs. Palumbino(sp?), went out Friday night, do not know anything new regarding his status.

More than they can chew? No, but it is taking a little more mastication than usual. In a good year Trinity can play with anyone in the country. In a down year, Trinity can play with anyone in Kentucky. The goal is the same as every other year. Enter the playoffs playing your best ball of the year and keep getting better until the first weekend in December.
