August 20, 20188 yr With the new 2018 season upon us, I'm wondering what was the worst memory that you have of your favorite college team on the field. I just finished watching the SEC Network's replay of the 2002 LSU vs UK game. Guy Morris had a Gatorade cooler poured on him, UK fans storm the field. All of this while an LSU player prances to the endzone scoring a touchdown. I felt so bad for that UK team, especially Artuse Pinner and Jarrod Larenzon.

August 20, 20188 yr Lifelong Longhorn fan. 1983-84 Cotton Bowl. 10-9 loss to Georgia. Texas returner muffed a punt with about two minutes to go and set the Dogs up at the 17. :puke: Horns had one of the better defenses of the era. They would have finished unbeaten and National Champs when Nebraska was upset that night.

My Dad and brother were at this game, and had already headed to the truck to leave when the play happened.
August 20, 20188 yr As a Kentucky fan there are several, unfortunately...:lol2: The Guy Morris Gatorade game against LSU is on the list as is the Chris Doering game against Florida. Number one for me though is the seven overtime loss at home to Arkansas. I took my father in law, my son and one of his friends to the game and we were right behind the end zone where most of the OT's were played. When it was over fans and players both seemed exhausted and everyone just quietly left.
August 20, 20188 yr Boise State @ Nevada in 2010. By far the most heartbreaking game. A couple other ones were when I traveled to Miami and New Orleans only to watch UC lose to Tech and get pummeled by Florida.

August 21, 20188 yr When U.K. went 0-10-1 under Fran Curci while I was a student in the 80s. I think they were called Curci's Convicts... a precursor to Marvin lewis' Bengals teams years ago.

Actually that was the year after Curci left. It was Claiborne’s first year. He red-shirted everybody he could and they went 6-5-1 the next year. 9-3 the year after.
August 21, 20188 yr Easy one for me: Jeremy Ito hitting that 28-yarder to give Rutgers the win over unbeaten and third-ranked Louisville in 2006. Up 25-7 in the third quarter. I was sure Louisville was going to win that game. They should have. Ugh. *Honorable mention: The 10-9 loss to Syracuse under Kragthorpe. It wasn’t emotionally painful or heartbreaking, but it was far and away the worst football game I’ve ever sat through and I still cringe thinking about the groans I heard in the stadium that day.
