August 4, 20188 yr Lots of reasons why he would lie to the media. The first of which he already told us. Which may have been a lie too.
August 4, 20188 yr After Urban cleared himself of wrongdoing? What would you expect us to do? Throw him into the fire without any evidence like everyone else is doing? Nah. Not how I roll. How did he clear himself of wrongdoing? I must have missed that
August 4, 20188 yr After Urban cleared himself of wrongdoing? What would you expect us to do? Throw him into the fire without any evidence like everyone else is doing? Nah. Not how I roll. Cleared himself of wrong doing? He could have fired him himself anytime. Instead he let a friendship get in the way of firing him, and decided to let someone else make the call so he wouldn't have to be the one. Especially when he probably knew a lot more than what his bosses at OSU knew. His bosses at OSU knew about 2015 because he had to tell them. They probably didn't know about the 60 other phone calls to police, that Urban most likely knew about. Since his wife and courtney texted a lot about all of it. So while he may have took the proper channel and reported the 2015 thing. He knew a lot more than most on the situation yet he kept the guy anyway because of a friendship to a mentor. That doesn't seem to be clear of any wrong doing to me.
August 4, 20188 yr Author Urban could have fixed this on his own but instead he approved two raises for a man he knows has issues with domestic violence. He knew he had issues in 2009. He also knew that there were allegations that were never substantiated to him in 2015. The raises for coaching staff are pretty common place across college football. Usually when a couple big name assistants get big pay days the smaller guys like a WR coach get bumps too. Salaries are increasing all across college football. We have assistant coaches making over a million dollars/ year now. Read into it what you will.
August 4, 20188 yr If she didn’t want to press charges and meaning the police can’t do anything and the legal documents are sealed? Who has proof of anything? Because they’re 2 different burdens of proof. I’m not sure why that’s so difficult for you and JA to understand.
August 4, 20188 yr Do you have a Powell PD report proving it? I know you are labeling him guilty but where is the evidence? That still means something. It came out today that there was up to 60, 911 calls.. why zero charges or no arrest? Becareful spreading slander without evidence. Do you know the difference between slander and libel? And who are you accusing of “slander”?
August 4, 20188 yr If she didn’t want to press charges how is this on the police? Wouldn't they still have records that they took if she had Mark's on her or what not.
August 4, 20188 yr Author Which may have been a lie too. Maybe but like I’ve already said it’s pretty easy to figure out if he lied in his statement today and it would be really dumb to lie about it. If he was going to lie his best bet PR wise is to throw his wife under the bus. He definitely chose the harder pr route if he was going to lie about the whole situation either way.
August 4, 20188 yr Zach Smith on Urban: "If he loses his job it's flat wrong. And this is the guy who fired me. It would be a crime." Well obviously let’s get behind this guy’s statements....wow.
August 4, 20188 yr Author How did he clear himself of wrongdoing? I must have missed that If he reported it to the proper authorities and nothing came back, seems to me like any wrongdoing is pretty much wiped away. That blood is now on someone else’s hands.
August 4, 20188 yr After the 2015 incident was common knowledge to Gene Smith and Urban Meyer, Zach Smith received two raises. Wait, Zach Smith was just fired in 2018? A couple of weeks ago? Wow. Nothing to see here.
August 4, 20188 yr Do you know the difference between slander and libel? And who are you accusing of “slander”? He’s saying/speaking it on here, which yes is print.
August 4, 20188 yr Only thing I cleared, is that he did in fact report the 2015 violation and nowhere did I predict a National Championship. Do you have any proof of that? You crack me up :lol2:. You keep asking others for proof, cautioning members on “slander”, when really you don’t know any more facts than the rest of us. I guess I can spin it back.. If you have exculpatory evidence that can exonerate Urban, I urge you to get in touch with his legal team.

That doesn't seem to be clear of any wrong doing to me. Again you are wanting him to fire a guy for accusations at the time had no proof behind them and the proper channels were followed. I’m still not sure what is hard to understand about that. He did his job. He can choose whether or not he wants to fire him, but he still has to have some reason. (I really wish it would have been football related because I don’t know exactly how close you’ve paid attention but Zach Smith is a horrific coach IMO)

Two sides to every story and the OSU haters don’t like the other side of the story. All I know are the facts...he was never charged with anything, sorry.
