So the crux of the debate here is that since in 2015 there was no official legal proceeding - other than Courtney Smith getting a divorce - that Meyer is ok regardless of what he knew.

That’s incorrect. I believe in due process, proof and evidence. I believe in convictions, not speculations like you. That’s how the legal system works in the US.

 

Rick Pitino wasn’t convicted of anything, should he have been fired?

I want a guy who does his job. I want a guy who respects his players, his coaches, his family, his university, his peers. I want a guy who stands up for what he believes in. I want a guy who isn’t afraid to admit when he was wrong but has the conviction to stand by his actions. I want a guy who does what he believes is right whether that’s the popular opinion or not. I want a guy leading my program who teaches everyone that you don’t back down from the pressure of the outside world. A guy who molds young men into great men who just happen to be great football players. That man has been, is, and always will be Urban Meyer. Don’t believe me, fine. I don’t expect you to. But at least you’ll never be able to accuse me of not standing up for what I believe in. If this attitude about Urban and about life in general bites me in the butt then so be it. I have confidence in my opinions. Do you?

 

You should really go back and read about how Urban lost control over his team the last few years at Florida. Most famously having an accused serial killer on the roster among many other issues.... what a leader of men...

Just because you would can people left and right on allegations or he said, she said, that doesn’t mean everyone else follows that model. Right now, it’s he said, she said. There was no criminal evidence, make sense now?
