How is he continuing to lie? That’s what I’m confused about. Why would he lie in a statement that is so easily disproven. If you think that’s what he’s still lying about then fine, but I just don’t think him or his lawyers could possibly be that dumb. It would be a pretty swift investigation if that were the case.

 

Why lie in the presser to begin with? You usually only lie to protect yourself. So why lie unless you realized crap this got out, when I didn't think it would have. I need to try to protect myself and hope this all ends with his firing and nobody ask anything.

Because she would have told his wife. Yes he chose to keep him around because of his mentor. But that doesnt make it any more right. Urban played with fire by keeping him and he knew that too. Which is why he initially lied during the presser.

 

Does it suck for him, yes. Because he is not the one who did the acts. Firing him wouldn't have done anything to stop it from happening either. However with all that he probably knew, there was zero reason to keep him around this long mentor or not. He played with fire by doing it and he knew it.
