Previously you wanted him fired for not reporting it but if he did report it and his higher ups didn’t act, possibly due to a police investigation with no arrest or charges, why call for Meyer's head?

Meyer can’t fire his assistants?

I can't read his statement on my phone, does it say when he knew about it and when he reported it?

I don't want anyone fired specifically and honestly don't care what happens to OSU football. He should be fired for keep someone like that around. There is a reason he lied about knowing.

Coaches are leaders of 100s of men and the face of huge academic programs and keeping someone like that on staff is a bad look which is why he lied about it. If it wasn't a big deal he wouldn't have done so.

It's not the first or the last time a coach at a high level will do something like this, but it doesn't make it OK. Just win baby!

Yes he can but coming off a National title production season and no police charges, why would he?

Again he reported it... if you report someone at your work and after a police investigation nothing is found, would you still fire someone and face a wrongful termination?

Zach Smith says he had a conversation with Urban Meyer following the 2015 domestic violence allegations.

"He (Urban Meyer) looked at me and said 'Zach, if you hit her you're fired immediately.'

I'm done here...

You all had something if he didn’t report it. Thanks for trying to be objective though and keeping the thread open.

Coaches fire assistants just because they don't like them...I've never seen an assistant coach win a wrongful termination case. There may be one, but would want to go to court and say that you were wrongfully fired because you hit your wife?

If Urban knew and reported it as he says, why fire Smith now?

Because he shouldn’t allow a man that he knows beats his wife on his staff?

Because OSU told him to fire him.

Do you have a Powell PD report proving it? I know you are labeling him guilty but where is the evidence? That still means something. It came out today that there was up to 60, 911 calls.. why zero charges or no arrest? Becareful spreading slander without evidence.

Smith hid a criminal trespass charge from Meyer, against his lawyers guidance a few months ago, when Smith went to drop his son off to her, he dropped him off in the driveway and she had her phone out recording him on her property and reported it. Maybe Meyer had enough of all the crap?
