Final per the update thread. Another really good game from the 10th region going be a great semifinal night in Mason on Monday. They might need to go back to one game clear the gym and re-enter for the 2nd game.

The place will be rocking Monday night. Glad we play the first game.

What a ball game. Congrats to Scott on the win.

What a game! I thought that last heave from behind half-court was going in.

WFTM Announcer thought it could too.

Mason out played Scott and should have won this game. Way to many stupid unforced turnovers and bad decisions. Mason tied the game Ron two clutch Dunaway Free Throws. Scott called timeout and held the ball as Mason played zone and let them. Scott threw the ball to the elbow and Meister turned and drilled the jumper. The worst part is Mason had TWO FOULS to give. Dunaway banked a half court shot that was just a bit to hard. Tough loss, very tough season.

Another great 10th Region game at the Fieldhouse.

Mason--Dunaway 23, Jones 5, Perkins 6, Frey 13, Devine 2, Brammer 4. (53)

Scott--Ohmer 18, Hunter 2, Meister 8, Perrin 12, Pouncy 4, Joyce 6, Simpson 5. (55)

Stupid turnovers and bad decisions usually aren’t hallmarks of outplaying a team :lol2: No sense giving the winning team any credit.

Am glad you pointed that out, thought I was the only one that noticed that. The old book keeper in me

Did someone forget to tell Mr. Biggs he had two fouls to give?

How do you let the final play of the game play out against a 2-3 zone? Uncontested 15 ft shot with minimal ball movement to win the game. From listening to the game online and watching highlights through Twitter, it seemed as if Scott knew to draw up a 2-3 play to win it. With 2 to give, why stick with it? At least call a time out (not sure if they had any left) to switch it up and talk about the situation. Disappointing way for the Royals to end a roller coaster season.

On a more positive note, very glad to see Mason had a bit of fight left in postseason!

I thought they played hard; especially without point guard/leading rebounder Lofton. Perkins had 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Game could have gone either way, but as I often say - the better tean generally wins.

Assuming Lofton did not play from the window incident during halftime of districts?
