Scott 55 Mason County 53 (10th Region Quarterfinals)

Featured Replies

They were 16-13 that season. When have they had a losing season? I thought Hester may have had one

That record is not even close to what Mason Co fans expect from any coach.

I believe Mason last losing record was Coach Feldhaus last season in 90-91. The last year before the Mason Maysville merger.

Pretty impressive for a small-medium size county school if correct.

As an outsider, have always thought all of the Royals coaches over the years have done an outstanding job with that program, i think people forget that Mason County is a very small school compared to your GRC's,CC's and Scott, even PC's enrollment is way more. Has Mason County had a losing season recently or ever?

Feldhaus

Hester

O'Hearn

Biggs

I wouldn’t say Scott is much larger either. They’ve played in the same class in football the last 4 years and only have roughly 150 more students in total enrollment.

For the record BBHS is at 254 students. It would be nice to have an additional 80 students though.

The last numbers KHSAA had posted that i saw were from

13-14, so I'm sure most have changed some.

Seems like I had seen somewhere that PC had around 200 students more than Mason County, which even if they are less a little less or on par with Mason County was always shocking to me. Always thought or at least it seemed when I was younger that PC was in the Bracken County enrollment range, maybe a 100 or so more than them. I think a lot of outsiders think that with all the business's, the size of their gym, etc. that Mason County is this big school which it never has been. Back in the early state tournament appearances and even with Lofton and Miller, enrollment was probably less than what it was when that '13-'14 report was done

I believe Mason is below 800 this year which is one of the reasons they are dropping a Class in football.

Pendleton and Mason probably close in enrollment now.
