Have never seemed to raise much interest with my historical comments about Russellville's home field.

 

Russellville is on my list of places to watch a game, but I've only driven by it. It looks really cool.

That looks like Three Rivers Taylor's HS field (OH) except the slant was in the other end zone.

I didn't know Moeller played games at their home stadium. I thought Lockland was their home field.

It is - although up through 2002 their home field was now defunct Galbreath Field on the south end of Warren County, OH. They also have multiple full-sized "practice fields" on campus where they are able to host games, but I believe they have limited (if any) stands for spectators, and I think they are still un-lit.

Is old Durrett the current Male stadium?

 

Also, you need to get to a game at DeSales. It's an awesome place!

It sits on the same footprint but it's not the same stadium. When Durrett High School closed the bleachers were moved to Southern and the light standards taken down. The school building spent several years as an office building. When Male relocated there a brand new stadium was built.

 

Thanks for reminding me, I also attended multiple games at Maxwell Field which was behind the old Male HS in downtown Louisville.
