January 30, 20188 yr Very well could be right, I paid cash for college so that makes sense. My wife went to WKU in the mid to late 90's. She took student loans out to pay for it. Came out owing $25,000-$30,000 (can't remember the exact amount) for 4 years. That would cost you close to $90,000 today. You're not paying for that delivering pizzas on the side. Fact is the days of paying as you go are over. You could still do it for a two year degree but not for a 4 year. Unless you did it online, then maybe.

I didn’t pay a dime for my education so I am very fortunate in that respect. But for the vast majority of college students you are looking at a ton of money. At UK you are looking at $6000/ semester in tuition, $5000/ semester for housing, and if you live on campus you are required to have a meal plan and the cheapest one I believe is $1500 semester. $12,500/ semester is a TON of money.

I do remember though that I paid for one class my last semester (only had one class left) and it was more than I paid for my whole first semester.

January 30, 20188 yr Does UK make you stay on campus? No but there are quite a few that still make you. EKU and Ohio State I know for sure make you stay on campus for at least your first year. But unless you are commuting, off campus housing is going to cost you $500/month.

January 31, 20188 yr I still take issue with people who wear jeans to church for Sunday service, just how I was raised, you dont wear jeans in church. People seem to be flocking to those "Entertaining Churches." My wife is Catholic. I am not but I go to Catholic mass with her often. She goes to mass every Saturday evening or Sunday morning. She wears nice jeans 90% of the time and I do too. I would bet 50% or more of the people are wearing jeans (my wife and I are both 54) at mass. It is certainly a millennial thing...Catholics of all ages wear jeans to church (or worse). I have seen sweat pants too...
