They get me with the 7.99 haircut specials.

I used to visit whoever I had a coupon for at the time....Great Clips, Borics, Sport Clips.....they were all pretty much the same to me. Now that I'm more follicly challenged, I just take care of my own haircutting.

My MAJOR pet peeve is the trend towards checking in to places on line.

If I go to Great Clips and am waiting when a college kid, who signed in on line, walks in and goes ahead of me, we have a problem and a major scene.

My time is no less valuable than theirs, and the advantage goes to the youngsters who have knowledge of the technology which gives them this advantage.

This is a BAD policy, and shame on businesses for offering it.

Even if I knew how to do it, out of common courtesy I would never check-in, in abstentia, but the youngsters think nothing of it, and consider it a way of their life.

Don't want to wait 20 minutes for a seat at Cracker Barrel??? Sign in on line.

To hell with those of us who do it the old fashion way and wait our turn.

If this is a wave of the future, then I'm glad that I will be checking out shortly, because I have no desire to live in such an impersonal world.

Shame on businesses for being more customer friendly?

I'll just go ahead and assume he doesn't make doctor's appointments or financial advisor appointments, etc. ahead of time either. Just shows up and waits for an opening...:idunno:

I pay $30 when I go to my barber. Usually takes about 45 mins. That includes a hot towel and straight razor shave/line up every time. Worth every penny. Best barber I've ever had.

When I went to someone for a haircut paid $12 and would normally tip a few bucks. However, age hasn't been the kindest to my hair line so I've cut my own hair for a few years. Basically a step about shaved.

I haven't paid for a haircut in years. #2 razor on the clippers. Takes all of 5 minutes.

Nothing better than waiting for a table at Texas Roadhouse for 1 1/2 hours instead of using call ahead seating. I mean, that's find if you don't want to use it but to be of the mind set that it's a bad policy just doesn't make sense.

Boy I disagree, I think it's great. I too have been doing things old school for 60 years but thankfully my kids have slowly been teaching me new ways and it's resulted in a much better use of my time. I sure hope I'm not checking out for another 25 years but whatever time I have left I don't want to spend it waiting in lines.

I go no attachment on the sides and back, fade up to shortest attachment, then fade that up to the 1/8" attachment on top.

I did that for a long time. Put the zero guard on and go to town.

Now I let my hair grow longer, especially in the colder months, and I have a beard 3/4 of the year.

Yep. When we go to the OTR area of Cincinnati, we like to put our names in at about 3-4 of the restaurants down there. Then we go hang out at one of the bars. First place to call us gets our business. Time is precious. No point in waiting longer than is necessary.

My wife has saved me thousands of dollars over the past 20 years cutting my hair along with my sons. My oldest son now has his wife cutting his hair. Saves time and money.

I remember when I used to use a #2. I'm down to the zero guide nowadays.
