Millennials have ruined........

Great!!! Then put it on a level playing field and make everyone check in on-line, not only those seeking to gain an advantage.

I fully realize that unless Goldie and Oldercoach, etc., chime in, I'm fighting a losing battle here. You are taking advantage of something that is provided for you and in your minds eye, you are simply being smart and efficient. We are the dumb asses who do things the old, but still accepted way, and are being disadvantaged by those who consider their time to be more valuable than ours.

Cracker Barrel doesn't take reservations, but you are telling me that by back-dooring the system, they really do.

My (old and antiquated) opinion is that it should be all on-line check-in, or all get yourself in the building and in line. Until this is the case, I will only dine at such venues during non-peak hours when there is no line period.

Its a service they offer to better serve their customers. It's 100% your fault you don't use it. You want to spend your time waiting at the restaurant, fine. Some choose to spend their time waiting at the mall or home or bar or ect...

:lol2: "Screw you generation"?

Bitter and angry is how you're coming across.

Seems to me your beef should be with the establishments and not the individuals that are taking advantage of a service that is offered to any and all customers.

And let's not act like you don't know how to use technology. You run a website and do online broadcasting of basketball games for crying out loud.

That's been happening forever.

Yep. And I'm sure when my generation reaches that age, we'll look down on our grandchildren's generation and probably think the same. But, at least we're able to see it for what it is.

Trust me, no probably about it, you will think the same about the youth at that time. Every generation sees it for what it is, just doesn't change anything.

Why not just learn how to check in online?

Simply stating what I dislike about the mentality of the Millennials.

You do understand it isn't just millennials that take advantage of the online check-ins right? We've even got some in this thread that are pretty close to you in age that don't understand your angst with it.

I'm a GenX'er, and I absolutely take advantage of online check ins.

I don't expect you to agree with me, that would be a step back.

Simply wave at me as you go to the head of the line, shake your head and wonder why a guy, who might have the tech savvy to join you, would choose to stand in the lobby and wait his turn.

It's also about lost principles and values.

The window is so broad or what is considered a millennial. I've seen that window as broad as 1982-2002... As if the lives of people at each end of that spectrum have been anything close to the same.

It's also about lost principles and values.

There it is, us millennials are just terrible people with no principles, values, or morals.

I'm a GenX'er, and I absolutely take advantage of online check ins.

You apparently don't have principles or values. :lol2:

I have no principles or values because I called ahead to get put on a list? That's the measuring stick?

Let's say my wife makes a hair appointment. Her stylist works at a salon with a large "Walk-ins Welcome" sign. She shows up at her designated appointment time and is put in a chair before a walk-in who was already waiting.

Henceforth, my beautiful wife is unscrupulous.
