As long as it's consistent a foul is a foul.

Not if neither are a foul.

Fun match up between two really good players.

CJ had 27 and 7.

Kunkel had 23 and 5.

The difference in the game was Blaine Walters with 20.

Not if neither are a foul.

In your opinion.

Well since all fouls are opinions I'd say you are correct.

Should help sell a LOT OF TICKETS to Bluegrass Buckeye Classic at BB&T on January 12th.

Cov. Cath seems to have no rhythm on offense, Ruthsatz and Fredrick seem to take turns getting their shot and every now and then they post up Walters. The other 2 players on the court are rarely involved in the offense besides setting picks. The Thelen kid scores on put backs and fast breaks but the 3 games I have seen them play he has never received the ball on a post up. They have a lot of talent and size! Also they do turn the ball over a lot especially their guards.

You hit the nail on the head! This has been consistent in all of CCH's close games.

Nice win for the Jags!!!

IMO AK was the best player in the tournament that I watched in the last two days.

I agree if he keeps up that kinda play he’s gotta be a lock for mr. Basketball

A “lock” seems like a strong word. CJ is the preseason favorite and we are only a month in, and he had better stats last night vs Kunkel. I would love for either of them to win it, but winning is going to be what gives them a shot at that prestigious award come March.

KY Mr Basketball will come down to Adam Kunkel and Trevon Faulkner.

Kunkel doesn't have off nights. He shows up every game. He is very quick and can score several different ways.

Faulkner is almost unstoppable one on one. He can put up 40 on any given night. Most of the time while being double teamed. He is just a strong, explosive player. Glad he is going to NKU.

I can only speak for AK but I’m pretty sure he could care less about individual stat lines or awards. Getting the W and leading his team and the filling big shoes of the 2 leaders from last season is job one for AK. He keeps playing at his current high level the rest will take care of itself but for now it’s on to the next one.

Sullivan out-coaches CCH in these games. Your points are spot on that too much is dependent on 2 players. They start the game (as they do about every game) with a post play for Walter and he converts. They go to him maybe one other time in the remaining 31:45 of the game. Thelen is not a back to bucket player but with his size and Walter, it is a mismatch in every game that they do not exploit.

AK is the best player in the region right now and Sully knows how to leverage his talent against CCH. Cooper's team effort on both ends of the court is impressive.

Congrats to the Jags on a really good win. AK would not want individual acclaim - he has worked himself into a top player within the team-first mindset. Many props to Coach Sully who develops talent within his framework of “Team and D first” or however he teaches team and family. Outstanding, positive coach that I respect so much.

Well there you have it....AK or Faulkner Mr. Basketball finalists on the 24th of December.

100% spot on! The good thing about it is it is the only culture Cooper has ever known since Sully is the only coach the Jags have ever had. When you hear the phrase “The Process” around Cooper basketball everyone knows what it means.
