What's the opinion? With seemingly lowering enrollment up on the hill, is this a good job that will attract "names" or will this be a first time HC person kind of job?

I’ve been told by a few HS coaches this is definitely a sought after job and many have already inquired about it. The obvious hurdle will be the pay & retirement differences from public to private. I think in the end they have some options, but wouldn’t be surprised if they go with a completely fresh face.

Wil this job be posted, or are the looking to stay in-house?

With the way Wags was treated by parents and so called assistant coaches why would someone want to put their self in that position.

Treated really, how do you know he treated them?

Because it’s a easy Sell. Put the right person in there and you will draw more Kids away from Ft Thomas.

Male enrollment has been declining since the late 1960s if you want to technical about it.

Its always been a small school so what is your point, some years its down and some years its been good.

The point is everyone keeps saying declining enrollment like it is something new. It has been declining since the 1960s when there was 7 Catholic grade schools in Northern Campbell Co and now there is 1 small one. Pick 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007, 2017 and it will have gone down in every period. This isn't anything new. Their football roster has been 40-45 pretty consistently since 2000. Enrollment was declining under Schneider and declining when Eviston took over and it was declining when Wagner took over. That does not really have an effect on football.

What!? Enrollment does not have an effect on football? In my opinion that is a ridiculous statement.

Tell me how did the parents treat coach Wagner?

I curious about this as well! Is that factual or just something cooked up amongst the outsiders. In my experience (albeit just a little) with NCC the parents have been very supportive of practically everything that happens in that school.

I disagree with the declining enrollment excuse as well. My brothers class 4 years after mine had 30 more boys in it and it went up, slightly, for a few years following that as well. Now it's back down. Overall there are fewer today than in the 70's sure. But enrollment has been a cyclical thing like this for a while now.
