I didn't see Scotty Draud (Active) from Beechwood on that list. I also didn't see Greg Batsche and Lenny Bays from Bellevue both had at least 1400.

Any word on how fast the school is planning to move on this and hire someone?

I did hear from an old friend in Alexandria that former Brossart coach Matt Reinhart was contacted by Bellevue for this position. Thoughts?

What teaching positions are open in the district? How does someone find this information out? Is it on the district site or somewhere else?

Admittedly, I have only seen them play 1-2 times over the last couple of years. Looked like they have been predominantly Power-I running team and honestly can't remember the defensive scheme. I'm just offering a suggestion. With struggles of recent years, a change in the schemes may help them win a couple of more games

I saw the posting for assistant coach. I know the staff that’s there will do their best to put the team in a position to win. Hopefully they can get back on track this season.

Doubtful they get the paddle back. They need to hit weight room and the drawing board and work hard to find a solution to the struggles they’ve had. Maybe a new offense or defense scheme. I know the kids work hard and put in the effort, just hope it can pay off this season.

Any indications yet who will be on his staff? Im sure if nothing else he will have Coach McDay on his staff, but who else?

I understand the concern by some in the community. However, the man has paid his debts to society and is still a role model for many of the kids in the community. He made a mistake, did what he needed to do to correct the mistake, and is able to move on with a second chance. I believe that many of us have and will benefit from that premise at some point in our lives. He can stand up in front of the kids and tell them to do what is right, because if not this is what will happen (loss of employment, etc.). However, mistakes happen and you can get back up off of the ground and do what you need to correct mistakes and reestablish trust, etc and things can work themselves out again---a valuable life lesson for many kids that get knocked down for various reasons on a daily basis.

Do you think there is any chance of a return to Campbell or do you think he stays in Bellevue?

I was just thinking about Siple being the guy! Also, what about the assistant coach that is at Bellevue, that coached at Campbell for awhile (I believe). His name is Troy. Do not know his last name though, maybe something like Stier or Stein?

In my opinion the decision to not play in a district hurts the program, the turn out of kids, and the appeal of this job.

I heard that Newport was planning on conducting interviews over the holiday break. Any word if that is true? Did they hire someone?

I curious about this as well! Is that factual or just something cooked up amongst the outsiders. In my experience (albeit just a little) with NCC the parents have been very supportive of practically everything that happens in that school.

What's the opinion? With seemingly lowering enrollment up on the hill, is this a good job that will attract "names" or will this be a first time HC person kind of job?

Haha! My last coaching stipend was for $3,500 before taxes. I'd hate to actually break it down to a per hour rate.
