Getting Cortisone shots in both my knees in a couple of weeks, can anyone give me a heads up on what to expect?

Never had one in my knees, but have had a couple in my shoulder. It's not a pleasant experience. But it does wonders for the pain afterwards.

Shoulder, 45 years ago. Only experience I've had with cortisone shots. Looked like a horse syringe.

So I probably want to look away. :lol2:

29 shots.

2 in elbows (worse pain ever)

2 in back (not a problem)

6 in shoulders (very mild pain)

19 in knees (Painful because if they do it correctly they will leave the needle in while moving your knee and injecting slowly. Just hold on to the side of the table and know it will end soon).

You guys are going to scare him to death. Can’t you fib just a little for his sake.

Just take a shot of whiskey and bite on a bullet. You'll be fine.

Both knees? Plan ahead to have some one hold you up while you pee, at least for the first few days. When I had them in my ankle for the first week that was my biggest issue. Standing in one spot like that and keeping balance.

Does your wife have a knitting needle? Just curious.

It's gonna hurt.

I have had 2. One in shoulder for a pinched nerve. Didn’t bother me at all because my neck and should hurt so bad.

I had one for my foot and it hurt for a few hours but worth it. The one for my foot made me feel like I had the flu for a day.

Have your Doc freeze your spot before he injects you.

I've never personally had one but I have heard that it feels better than the physical act of love, you suddenly lose 20 lbs. of fat and hot women come in an massage you afterwards.

Allegedly of course :thumb:
