Cortisone shots in the knees.

My co-workers jokingly refer to me as the tin man, but you sir could give me some competition for that illustrious title.

I’ve had sooooooo many injuries over the years. I had shoulder surgery a few months ago. Came back to work way too soon, but I couldn’t handle office duty any longer :lol2:

At least you could do office duty. I had my knee scoped in November. Had to take short term for 6 weeks and thought I was going to lose my mind.

Well I survived :lol2:

Knees were stiff for a couple of days but I've slept better the last two nights than I have in 6 months.

New med doc put me on had a side effect of making gout flair up temporarily, but when that passes I will be MUCH better shape than I was before shots.

One shot was smooth and easy, while one went in hard and hurt like crap.

Getting Cortisone shots in both my knees in a couple of weeks, can anyone give me a heads up on what to expect?

They will last for a while. My mom used to grt them then she had her knee replaced.

I had one in my left knee that didn't last a couple of days. That was when the dr and I decided to have a total replacement. I had already had a couple of surgeries on that knee. The dr said there was nothing left for him to work with. I'm glad I had it done.

How old were you when you had it replaced? What level of activity were you able to return to? I ask because mines innevitable but I'm not looking forward to it.

I had mine done in 2015 when I was 57. I was off work for 2 1/2 months. I'm back to almost full activity just can't bend it like I use to plus lifting heavy weights and twisting hurts sometimes. I'm happy that I had it done. I go for my 3-year checkup next month.
