Cortisone shots in the knees.

Featured Replies

I've never personally had one but I have heard that it feels better than the physical act of love, you suddenly lose 20 lbs. of fat and hot women come in an massage you afterwards.

Jumper, this post explains it in more detail. It’s not going to be too bad after all. You’ll be doing cartwheels leaving the office.

I've had a few. I was sore and had stiffness for the few days after the injection but once that subsided I felt a lot better.

Well interestingly enough I just had one 5 minutes ago and it was kind of unexpected.

I had the knee scoped on the 6th for bone spurs, minor meniscus tear and as the doctor put it to remove a whole lotta scar tissue. I was in for my follow up to see if I could go back to work yet. He said not quite but asked if I'd do a cortisone shot, he left and came back with a needle, I hate needles.

It didn't feel great, after he pulled the needle out it still felt like it was in there. I'm now about 15 minutes post injection, I definitely feel it in there, but it's not throbbing or terrible. I will keep ya posted.

I have both knees done every three months. It never hurts and I feel like a million dollars the next day. My knees are bone on bone.

Both knees? Plan ahead to have some one hold you up while you pee, at least for the first few days. When I had them in my ankle for the first week that was my biggest issue. Standing in one spot like that and keeping balance.

I get one in each knee and never had a problem. I also get a shot in my spine and have had no problems.

So are mine. Get shots every month. Knee replacement coming in May. Shots are no problem.

I was out on a farm visit one time giving a steroid shot to a cow out in Lincoln county when I was first out of school. Older farmer said " give me one of those chromosome shots for my knee". I told him there was only one way for me to give him a chromosome shot and I wasn't that kind of guy. He did not get it. The joke or the shot.

I survived! :lol2:

Had a little trouble getting into the left knee, but over all not too bad.

Hopefully when it kicks in it will make a noticeable difference.

Had several in my left knee, once in an elbow and probably a half dozen between both shoulders. I’ve been battling a pulled hammy since May and it’s really interfering with my workouts and I’m scared to sprint at work. Considering asking if they do them in a hammy.

My co-workers jokingly refer to me as the tin man, but you sir could give me some competition for that illustrious title.
