There is no appeal process. KHSAA will only overturn if the ruling on the field was applied incorrectly.

Thank you for posting that rule last night. What I don’t understand is, who determines if KHSAA looks at the film? How can they determine it was applied incorrectly if no one asks them to look at it?

Im the lone wolf picking Raceland. Ive been realistic and picked each game correctly this year. Atleast in the outcome. But i cant go against my alma matre in this one.

Rams 31

Beechwood 28

I must be misunderstanding what you're saying because I know you picked Raceland to beat Ashland.

I would love to see the Rams win, but Beechwood is on another level I'm afraid.

If kids aren't throwing punches, I don't think refs should eject them at this point in the season in a big game like this. The players didn't shove each other, head butt each other, nothing like that happened. One kid grabbed the other one's leg and the other kid yanked his leg away. There is a lot of emotion in these games. These are high school kids who have worked for years to get to a game like this.

The magnitude of the game should have no bearing, but I do agree that I don't think there should be an ejection if there were no punches thrown.

You are correct, my mistake.

Always rooting for a great man, coach and friend. Beechies all the way!!

I respect the Beechwood program, Coach Rash and everything they’ve accomplished through the years but I’d love to see Raceland pull this one off.

For the most part i agree with you, it should be a really flagrant infraction to take a kid out of a game, especially a playoff game.

Pulling hard for the Rams but if I had to wager money on it I would go with Beechwood and possibly a running clock

Good luck to both

The game officials have to report the ejection within 24 hours of the occurrence. Looking at the by-laws again this morning, there is case BL-15-5 in which the school can request reinstatement. The schools administration will receive a report in with instructions to request reinstatement. Either the KHSAA investigates every ejection for additional suspensions, or they review based on this report. To me, this 15-5 sounds like it could potentially be an appeal, even though 15-2 says no protests are allowed as these are judgement calls by the official. Let's just say, I'm glad I'm not a lawyer, because this stuff confuses me. lol...

If the ejection is not overturned I bet there will be a Judge involved to get an injunction..JMO

" Build it and they will come". But first you have to build it!!

I bet Randy Cooper is proud and smiling down at his Raceland Rams accomplishments!
