I was at McCracken on Saturday. Got there about twenty minutes before game time. Come to think about it they weren't outside warming up at any time I was there.

 

I thought so, its a great facility. I hear they are adding a new field house soon too.

This is made up. Nobody was complaining about this. That's absurd. But I do remember some of the people in here complaining about when Beechwoods band was playing during Cov Cath last loss to BW.... at their place. That was real.

And they should complain. Bands don't play during actual plays or action. You would be the first to complain if music is playing during an at bat!!!!

I appreciate your allegiance to the Wood but you would have to hear what every BW person had to say to quantify whether it was made up or not. Like a previous poster, I feel that that the arrogance at this school is growing in momentum and not just in athletics.

Bands do not play at baseball games and players can wait to enter the box if music is still playing. Football teams have bands... these bands are made up of kids... They make mistakes. Beechwood didn't lose the game because they weren't able to watch Cov Cath warm up, just like Cov Cath didn't lose because some kids' piccalo went past the snap.

I thought it was very telling when I saw several Beechwood fans at the game on Friday wearing red shirts with the Beechwood and Cov Cath logos and text that read "It's THE game." I looked around to see if there was a royal blue version of the same shirt, and was not surprised to see that there was no counterpart.

 

I mentioned in the pre-game thread it was a t-shirt game for the Beechies.

I dont think it was a big deal. They are so close it shouldnt matter. The only thing I can see being frustrating is cov cath gathered in the in-zone of what was obviously the beechwood side of the field (because they were running through offense right there) when they got there and then charged around the tigers to their side of the field. But at the end of the day its just football and let the kids get excited to make a good game. As long as its harmless and is respecting teams and football, let them have some fun. its their team.

No one from Beechwood was alleging that they lost on Friday because they didn't get to watch Cov Cath warming up, and I don't think Cov Cath was alleging that they lost because Beechwood's band was playing during live action during the game they lost a few years back.

 

I'm also pretty interested in how you can tell anyone that this is made up, because it absolutely is not. I 100% had that conversation on Saturday evening with a group of 6 parents and alumni from Beechwood. That statement was 100% definitely made, and the implication of that crowd was that there were more people from the Beechwood fanbase who felt that way. I started this thread to find out if other Beechwood fans actually felt that way. Obviously you don't feel that way.

 

I am honestly pretty entertained that you think you have your finger on the pulse of every single parent and every single alum of Beechwood High School, and that you are able to speak for each and every one of them. That's quite a talent.
