For Brossart to be on any list is an accomplishment.

 

I agree! Coach Wiggins and their program are doing great things every time they take the field. Just a few short years ago, we were talking about them folding up shop! Now we are debating on whether they should be on a top ten list. Just an outstanding accomplishment by the staff and kids!

Some won't accept them because of their short history and some won't except them because they are in direct competition for players. For whatever reason it doesn't matter because what does matter is people are noticing.

Horse hockey. People (and Brossart) want them to earn their way on any list by beating good competition and they just have not done that yet this year. I would say they certainly deserve more votes than Holy Cross based on the play of the two teams so far this year. How any coach could have Holy Cross in the Top 10 based on their performance so far this year is beyond me. As for Brossart and the teams listed behind them the simple question is what would they have done if they switched schedules with those teams? If you think they would have done better then they should be ranked over those teams. If you think they would have done worse then they do not deserve to be.

This will be a fun thread to return to after the regular season is over.......until then you guys are doing nothing but posturing.

Teams evolve and grow during the year, week 9 we get to see how good you think you are and how good you think we ain't.

I have seen all 3 Ryle games and they will win their fair share of games but they dont have the talent to beat top teams. Ryle seems to always struggle in the speed department especially on Defense. Havent seen Belfry this year but if they are as good as last year they would beat Ryle easily.

I've seen them play and they shouldn't be #3. Maybe 5 going into the SC game but no way 3

71 points is a LOT of points to give up. How many teams in the state on any level will give up 71 points in a game? That is a major problem, red flag, whatever you want to call it.
