Teams evolve and grow during the year, week 9 we get to see how good you think you are and how good you think we ain't.

I'm absolutely fine with everyone sleeping on Ryle. Let them become an afterthought. I know I'm partial, but the Offense WILL correct itself. The passing game WILL get better. I can tell you for certain that this Defense will punch people in the mouth. Oh by the way, injuries are healing nicely and two beasts carrying the ball. Keep sleeping, more rest is good for everybody.

Each loss to a " better " team during the season helps us mentally, physically, position and coaching wise. We are stepping up our competitiveness and will play anyone. Who else besides CCH and us is? Who in NKY is beating us the rest of this year?

And Highlands and Beechwood are not getting the benefit of past years performance. Are you seriously saying that either of those two would have handled HC better. Noone in NKY matches up with Clays speed. Our running game is better than Hhs and Beechwood. We gutted out a early season win after flipping our offense on it's head. You have the right to see that as a negative. You're wrong but you do have the right.

 

The reason I'm seeing the Henry Clay win as a negative is because Henry Clay got beat 48-0 the week before by a team that lost last week, and Ryle struggled to beat that same Henry Clay team. Couple that with the thrashing Ryle took at the hands of Covington Catholic the week before and I believe there is good reason to question Ryle. I agree with you that Ryle has the best running back in Northern Kentucky in Chisholm. It's still early. My opinion is based on just two games, so my opinion very well good change. In two weeks Beechwood plays Corbin and that will tell us how good Beechwood is.

I get your logic but comparing scores can be misleading. We have only played corbin on middle school basis and we have never had a competitive game. They may be good for 1a varsity wise but thats about it. We would get nothing out of playing them. I hope Beechwood repeats but I really would not commit to putting a good 1a squad over Ryle at this point.

I would take Beechwood over Ryle.

Yes SK has beat HC several times in years past. They are not very good. Bryan Station has just has much speed as HC. Look what happened to them this past week.

I will take Beechwood's overall running game over Ryle's. Davis, Castleman and Derry are nothing to sneeze at..

This isn't middle school. Corbin is much better than Ryle this year. Last year beechwood played Ryle on the JV level with freshman, sophomores and two juniors and won 33-6.

You're right, Jv, ok. This isn't jv either and I doubt Corbin is even close. But its all fodder because we would never schedule a 1a team. Maybe we can get Sk to for compaison reasons. I'm sure they don't mind.
