Dude their not good they are State Champs with Multiple Div 1 prospects. Your problem is your going off the 1a Tag. Most of those guys easily start at any bigger school program in NKY. This is not your average 1A Team. So your logic is flawed.

 

Having good players doesnt always make you a good team. Right now, tell me why they are a good team? What have they done so far to prove that? Could have very easily lost last night to the 10th rated 2a team. So what makes you think they can roll with the big boys so far? Because they should be good? We'll have to wait and see. So far "should" and " are" can be two different things.

 

I root for Beechwood. My point is, except for Cov Cath, I don't think there is even a clear number 2 in NKY at this point. Sure, I would lean towards SK, but I'm not sold on them either yet. With who teams have faced so far, I think there are some false securities and some teams that are better than they are getting credit for.

But State Champ counts for something and Ryle is having a down year its all over everywhere. So you can stay on that ship if you wanna. Beechwood at this early part if the season should be voted ahead of Ryle that's that. I am not a fan of either but watch football in Nky religiously.

Saying a team is having a down year or rebuilding has nothing to do with the conversation. The conversation is who is better at this point in the year? A down team can still be better than an up team. It depends on where both teams started. So far Beechwood hasn't proven anything on the field yet. We don't know how good they are yet. We will find out soon.

State Champ in 1A does mean that they were the best team in 1A last year. That's all it counts for. And I hope they win it again! But that doesn't mean they are better than other teams that didn't win state in much higher divisions. We have no idea what they will look like this year against those teams until they play someone even close to that level.

That's the Division that they Play in, so you sound like that's a Knock!! It's actually a Culture that's what youre not getting! You sound silly that's all it needs to count for at the end of the day. Give them 2k to 3k kids to choose from they have 7 blocks(Neighboorhood) and contend for a state championship every year. And LIke I said almost all the kids would start on ANY 5A-6A Team they transferred from those schools. Get your facts and your mind right before you start saying 1A is all it counts for Ryle is just now getting good so stick with the conversation. They have Corbin this week. Corbin just blasted Pulaski County who I believe was in the 5a state championship last year. They knocked off the #1 3a Tennessee team the week before. Corbin will probably be ranked around #8 in the state all divisions included this week. They are really good.
