If this season'e HHS squad is truly #3, then NKY football is way, way down.

Looking forward to seeing the impact of those changes on the field. My ranking is based on what I've seen so far this year on the field.

I don't think the Beechies have the size to match up with Ryle. Depth would be an issue as well.

Have you seen beechwoods offensive and defensive lines this year? They are not exactly small. Adam Derry is 6'3 275, and I believe the smallest offensive lineman is 240. On they defensive line they have ends that are 6'2 200, 6'4" 220, tackles that are 6'3" 275 and 6'4" 240.

Have you seen them play or just basing that on what you have heard and scores you have read?

I feel like the Birds are a little high. I guess record is the first factor which makes sense. Scott seems a little low too.

 

I agree Birds may be a little too high. We'll know more about the Birds after this week. Not by whether they win or lose and maybe not even a final score, but how they actually play against a team like SC.

 

I still question their defense. Can they make stops or have they just not faced really good offenses yet. Not taking anything from Campbell, but we really don't know how good they actually are yet. So even though the defense appears to be stronger and doing some good things, this week will gives us a better indication.

 

And they have been very conservative on offense so far. Will be interesting to see if they open that up a little this week. You have to score against SC to have a chance.

We have taken a step back made changes and revamped some things. I have a hard time believing that Highlands and Beechwood can beat us.

 

I'm still in your boat right now too. Regardless of the early struggles, I'm not sold they still aren't up there in third.

Noone in NKY matches up with Clays speed. Our running game is better than Hhs and Beechwood. We gutted out a early season win after flipping our offense on it's head. You have the right to see that as a negative. You're wrong but you do have the right.

Matchup, team intensity change week to week. Maybe Hc made changes that made them instantly better. HC did load the Box. Number five their safety was up on the line numerous times and they got burnt later in the game for it.
