August 8, 20179 yr Author Steph ahead of Lebron? Bill Russell at 36? NO TIGER!?!? No Tyson? Shaq at 17 but Kobe not on list? This list is ridiculous.
August 9, 20179 yr Some that stand out to me: Gabby Douglas at #9? Too high. I'd swap Jackie Robinson and Jesse Owens. And a major omission, in my opinion, is Edwin Moses.
August 9, 20179 yr It was done via a survey which means just that....... Thanks for mentioning that. Not even going to waste my time looking at it. :walk:
August 9, 20179 yr Bo Jackson at #25 seems low. Only person to be an all star in MLB and NFL. Also ran track in college. Heck, he was the face of Nike's cross training line. You don't get much more of an athlete than that.
August 9, 20179 yr Jim Brown is the greatest football player of all time and the greatest lacrosse player of all time. As a sophomore at Syracuse he averaged 15 ppg and followed that up with 11 ppg for the basketball team. In 1955 he finished 5th in National Championship Decathlon. Wilt's basketball prowess needs no explanation. He was also a track star and won the Big 8 high jump three consecutive years. My case is rested.
August 9, 20179 yr No Josh Gibson??? He hit over 800 career home runs and had a batting average of over .350.

Being the greatest in two sports is pretty hard to surpass. I also expected to see Rafer Johnson listed and I did not. He was a decathlete and won Olympic gold in 1960 and silver in 1956. Johnson, with Rosey Grier and journalist George Plimpton tackled Sir Han Sir Han after he shot Bobby Kennedy. Tat's got to count for something, right?!
