I heard it not only flattens everything above ground but also below ground. Tunnels and caves are not safe hiding places when the MOAB is used.

 

On another note, this would have saved many American lives if it had been in use during the WWII Pacific island hopping bench invasions.

I wouldn't say we have been bullied...but we have been like the big kid on the block who tries to always keep the piece and lets the little guys get away with a little to much.

Reports also say Trump was advised it was going to be used before it was dropped. I wonder if the military ever approached Obama about dropping it, and if they did, did Obama nix it.

That bomb would instantly create a safe landing beach at least 1/4 mile long. And probably 200-300 yards deep.

On CNN they had a source who said while they had the authority to act the General wasn't confident the last administration would defend the action if the media or public reacted badly. He felt more confident of support to use it now.

 

If that is true I don't know that is just what a retired Military officer on CNN was saying he was hearing from people on the inside.
