January 25, 20179 yr False. I blame the flow of drugs on the entire government. And yes, you just made my whole point. Nothing will change until the flow of drugs is stopped. Again I ask you, do you think that simply sending in the Feds will be a permanent fix to the ills of Chicago and inner cities all across America? No it won't completely fix anything, but as some are quick to retort on similar topics..."If it saves just one life, it's worth it" Chicago isn't even the worst in the country as far as per capita murders go...but feel the scorn from most due to the restrictions put in place to infringe upon their citizens, hamper police and give sanctuary to criminals. But back to my question, how do you stop the flow of drugs?
January 25, 20179 yr And if you take away his drugs then what is he going to do? How are you missing this most essential part of my point? Well, my guess is he is going to rob people, rob homes, get into racketeering, prostitution, protection and other criminal activities where he will keep killing other gangsters and innocents just like he is now.
January 25, 20179 yr And if you take away his drugs then what is he going to do? How are you missing this most essential part of my point? You act like there is no step 2. Trump is just going to send in death squads, kill a bunch of black folks and leave.
January 25, 20179 yr Sending in the Feds isn't fixing the problem. Cutting off the drugs and guns that plague the inner cities of our nation is how you fix it. Sending in the Feds into war zones is just going to make a war happen and Trump has made it clear that he will wipe out the problem any way possible. Can you guarantee when they start killing the ones who should be killed that innocent people won't be in the way? Can you guarantee that illegal drugs and guns will be off the streets of the inner cities for forever? If not all they are doing is a temporary fix for a long term problem and creating even more gangsters on down the road. That isn't fixing the problem. The chances of you getting our resident white BGP scholars to awaken to the insidious and systemic injustice being carried out on minorities in this country is slim to zero. They look through a different lens. Unfortunate.

January 25, 20179 yr I thought most of Trump's supporters were for "States Rights" and minimizing intrusion by the Federal Government? :idunno: If they're in favor of a states rights are they not allowed to support federal support, ever?
January 25, 20179 yr If they're in favor of a states rights are they not allowed to support federal support, ever? Nope. They can. I just find it interesting that when the Federal Government acts in other cases, they are quickly slammed as "over reaching." Where's the line and what's the difference?
January 25, 20179 yr Nope. They can. I just find it interesting that when the Federal Government acts in other cases, they are quickly slammed as "over reaching." Where's the line and what's the difference? In most claims of "Over Reach" it is when there is already something working in place and the Administration just doesn't like it and decides to change it. In this case even Chicago admits what they are doing isn't working.
January 25, 20179 yr Author No it won't completely fix anything, but as some are quick to retort on similar topics..."If it saves just one life, it's worth it" Chicago isn't even the worst in the country as far as per capita murders go...but feel the scorn from most due to the restrictions put in place to infringe upon their citizens, hamper police and give sanctuary to criminals. But back to my question, how do you stop the flow of drugs? Off the top of my head, I would stop all imports from known countries that are drug havens. I would also strengthen up the DEA so they can have better resources to stop the high level drug dealers. I would need to know what we are doing currently and need understanding as to why it isn't working to give a more informed answer. If the answer is ultimately that it can't be stopped then we need to take a long hard and serious look and legalizing drugs and taking the crime out of the equation.
January 25, 20179 yr Author You act like there is no step 2. Trump is just going to send in death squads, kill a bunch of black folks and leave. You act like you know step 1 and step 2. I'm asking questions and giving my opinion and perspective on what I feel the outcome will be. The worst part about your post is if Trump did send in death squads and left you'd still applaud that. Sad.
January 25, 20179 yr Author Well, my guess is he is going to rob people, rob homes, get into racketeering, prostitution, protection and other criminal activities where he will keep killing other gangsters and innocents just like he is now. Then I guess we'll just continue to have a different perspective on the plight of black people in inner cities and what little hope many have. I have more hope for my people that things improve. I wish more people cared for those in the inner city.
January 25, 20179 yr Who do you think the "Feds" are, the military? The "Feds" in this case will be the FBI, Dept. of Justice, ATF, DEA, ICE...not SEAL Team 6 Haw many times were the "Feds" sent in over the last many years to look into police misconduct? Same Feds are who will be sent in to look at criminal behavior as well...and YES the President through the Justice Department can do that. The Feds come in only when requested or federal laws are broken, not just waltz in like big brother is here.
January 25, 20179 yr   Law and order. Nah, black people have nothing to worry about. What is Trump going to do? Order mass executions of black people? You had to ask, huh? Trump says he'll send in feds if Chicago doesn't fix 'horrible carnage going on' - CNN https://apple.news/A-VDXhri7TzWkGoCscx7J5g You'd complain if someone gave you a million dollars because it wasn't two million. Let's face it, nothing President Trump does is going to please you. Nothing.
