Of course not. When was the last time you saw a white neighborhood flooded with illegal drugs and guns with bullets flying through homes and killing innocent people? The inner cities were left for dead in the 80s. It's blatantly obvious what has happened to the inner cities and the fix is blatantly obvious. Nobody wants to fix it. They just want band aids. Illegal drugs is job security.

I think the solution of illegal immigrants may very well curb the amount of drugs. You know good and well drugs are entering the country just as easily as illegal immigrants.

Exactly. So what is killing them all this year going to do? You'll have to go back next year and kill the ones who seized on the new business opportunity once entire neighborhoods were wiped out.

 

How has putting those in prison worked out so far? We've been locking up criminals since the 1980s. War on Drugs, remember? How has that worked out? I'd trash Obama if he said the same thing. Get the drugs out. I've said the same thing for decades when it comes to cleaning up the inner city. It isn't rocket science. Get the drugs out, fix the schools, clean up the neighborhoods and it will be so much easier to bring real jobs back to the inner city. It's a ton of work and it takes a true commitment from our government to pull it off. Going in and arresting and killing folks hasn't worked for decades. Why will it work now?

I can see quite a few gun battles going on before folks get rounded up. It's already a war zone chock full of criminals who don't care. I don't see them quietly giving up their enterprises and surrending. They already don't respect the law. Why would they now?

 

And again, say the Feds roll in and everyone does go quietly. No gunfire. 10,000 criminals surrender. You do know that by the next month there will be 10,000 new criminals in place still making money off of illegal drugs?

There are millions and millions of black males in prison for drug charges. It doesn't have to be on gun charges alone. Forget about the gun part of the equation and think about the drug part. I know they will get guns illegally also but if the government can commit to getting drugs off of the street then they can commit to getting guns off of the street as well. They have to commit to getting drugs off the streets. Cocaine and heroin are manufactured in foreign countries.

Sending in the Feds isn't fixing the problem. Cutting off the drugs and guns that plague the inner cities of our nation is how you fix it. Sending in the Feds into war zones is just going to make a war happen and Trump has made it clear that he will wipe out the problem any way possible. Can you guarantee when they start killing the ones who should be killed that innocent people won't be in the way? Can you guarantee that illegal drugs and guns will be off the streets of the inner cities for forever? If not all they are doing is a temporary fix for a long term problem and creating even more gangsters on down the road. That isn't fixing the problem.

Trump sending the Feds into Chicago would be an abuse of power. What should happen here is a combined effort by the leaders of Chicago, Illinois and D.C. to work on a solution. A good place to show how gov on all levels could work together. Maybe Trump's bluster is a way of getting everyone to do this.
