So Trump is complaining and wanting to help with all the killings/shootings in Chicago, please explain how this is an order of mass execution of black people? It sounds like the mass execution of black people is already happening and he wants to help. I may be off base but that's how I interpreted the article.

So you have outrage Trump said he would send in Feds to save thousands of black lives? Or you're upset that what Chicago is doing is working so well and doesn't need intervention. Did I read there have been over 180 shootings in just over 3 weeks? It's like the wild, Wild West there.

One must not speak of gang violence and the killings. :sssh: Not saying its a black or white thing cause I dont know, but I do know killings are killings. This is amazing.

Luckily for us, Mr. Trump will be restrained by the mechanisms of good government. He's already been very complimentary of the style of "justice" promoted by Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte: gangs of government thugs roaming the streets looking for drug users, mass killings of petty criminals, wholesale violence in the name of crime fighting.

 

I hope his concern for the people of Chicago is genuine. They're going to need serious help to turn back the wave of gang violence.

Sending in the Feds isn't fixing the problem. Cutting off the drugs and guns that plague the inner cities of our nation is how you fix it. Sending in the Feds into war zones is just going to make a war happen and Trump has made it clear that he will wipe out the problem any way possible. Can you guarantee when they start killing the ones who should be killed that innocent people won't be in the way? Can you guarantee that illegal drugs and guns will be off the streets of the inner cities for forever? If not all they are doing is a temporary fix for a long term problem and creating even more gangsters on down the road. That isn't fixing the problem.

They already have strict gun laws and drugs are illegal. If gangs won't follow the law how do you cut off guns and drugs?

Exactly. So what is killing them all this year going to do? You'll have to go back next year and kill the ones who seized on the new business opportunity once entire neighborhoods were wiped out.

 

How has putting those in prison worked out so far? We've been locking up criminals since the 1980s. War on Drugs, remember? How has that worked out? Now we're going to start a war with those who don't have anything to lose? All it will do is create more criminals just like locking up folks since the 1980s has done.

I think the solution of illegal immigrants may very well curb the amount of drugs. You know good and well drugs are entering the country just as easily as illegal immigrants.
