Yes!!! Treat them the way he is treating American companies that send jobs overseas. If we know drugs are coming from your country then we won't accept anything at all from your country. South American countries, Asian countries, Mexico. Doesn't matter what you send. Shut them all off. Can we or can we not produce everything we need for American people without the help of other countries or not? If not then it will be an issue. If we can cut off all imports from drug havens then I have to imagine it will clean up a lot of illegal drug trafficking directly or indirectly.

I'm not sure how that absolves Obama seeing as how he was the #1 leader of the government for 8 years. I forget that if you don't see it or hear then you think it doesn't exist.

I'd trash Obama if he said the same thing. Get the drugs out. I've said the same thing for decades when it comes to cleaning up the inner city. It isn't rocket science. Get the drugs out, fix the schools, clean up the neighborhoods and it will be so much easier to bring real jobs back to the inner city. It's a ton of work and it takes a true commitment from our government to pull it off. Going in and arresting and killing folks hasn't worked for decades. Why will it work now?

I'd be for federal intervention if it were handled similar to the Italian Mafia. Create Rico cases since the drugs cross state lines it is a federal crime.

 

I would not be for marshall law or sending troops.

Look at jail tracker. Look for folks with arrests for theft, burglary or robbery and then look at their prior arrests. Let me know when you find one over 25 that doesn't have prior drug related charges. Excluding those with less than 3-4 charges because that means they're still new to it all, sadly.

1. Correct. He is proving to back up his talk so when I hear sending in the Feds I can't trust it until I hear his plans and can make an informed opinion. Anyone paying attention to Chicago should know they could not care less about the Feds. That worries me as well. I don't want to see a war zone between the gangs and the Feds on the news but I can't see the gang members acting like they have some sense when their multi million dollar operations are shut down.

 

2. Agree completely. My end game is for the government to intervene and make the inner cities great again. It won't happen without full commitment from the government from top to bottom. Then they need to rebuild the inner cities.

 

3. That works for me. There are some gangsters who can be rehabilitated. There are many more that can't be. The ones we know that can't be need to be locked away for forever and if RICO can do it then I'm all for it.

The interesting aspect of this story is the influence Fox News has on President Trump. His tweet about Chicago came within minutes of Fox having a story about Chicago. Then last night Fox News used "ungrateful traitor" and "weak leader" and within minutes they showed up in tweets by the President.
