Deep recessions have historically been followed by strong economic recoveries. Not so with former President Obama, the deep recession was followed by the weakest recovery in history. No two-term president not named Obama has ever been in office without enjoying at least one year of GDP growth of 3 percent or more. None. The table is set for a booming economy, thanks to Obama's domestic policy failures. Let's hope that Trump does not screw up this opportunity like Obama did. So plenty of people had the opportunity to attend the inauguration and chose not. January 22, 20179 yr The left didn't dig past elections that didn't go their way, and examples of protest can certainly be found, yet the magnitude of this would suggest that this is not them all of the sudden collectively becoming snowflakes. If this was entirely true that they are just simply snowflakes then you would have seen this magnitude in the past because what would have stopped all the snowflakes from freaking out to this magnitude before? My answer would be entirely different circumstances, which this is. Also, I know that you're not a big fan of Obama, but do you seriously believe that he is polarizing and controversial on the same level that Trump is? Perhaps I don't see it because I didn't hate Obama, and I'm just being biased, but he seemed like a mild mannered guy who knew how to act diplomatically and control his behavior. I don't see this in Trump. Well, Trump has been president for going all of 2 days now, so I'll wait to see if he's polarizing and controversial on a larger level or not. I agree campaign wise, yes, without a doubt he was. Then again, so was Hillary compared to Obama. It was in office where Obama drove such a wedge compared to his predecessors. 16 years ago, the left couldn't accept defeat, this isn't something new. They melted down then, but over the last 16 years they have gotten less able to handle things not going their way. 16 years ago college students didn't need safe spaces with frolicking puppy videos, coloring books and Play Doh. These people are driven to this nonsense by ridiculous leftist professors, teachers and parents that tell these young people they're special and are proven so by participation trophies. They're stuck in a vacuum between adolescence and adulthood because of the village that raised them rather than the parenting they needed. Add to them, the adults that helped create them, the nutty, overly self absorbed Hollywood stars that think their opinion is the end all be all to everything and a media that does everything to push all the nonsense to seem like it should be the norm and low and behold you have what we've arrived at today. Is Trump guilty of any of it? Of course, and I completely agree he needs to be more civil as well. The economy should have surged under Obama but it didn't. The Trump economic boom that I believe is coming could have and should have been the Obama economic boom. I expect that many Obama supporters will try to give credit for the Trump economy to Obama, but for all the wrong reasons.

Even John Lewis was with Hillary in 2008 until Obama won Iowa. Dr. Carson would not have gotten the black vote in 2017. Maybe 20-25% of the black vote is my estimate of what he would have gotten. At best. You truly are underestimating the level of discontent that blacks have with the Republican Party and Trump has only made it worse.
